Ow my God. this is a monster. the dual core 1.5Ghz version of Snapdragon can compete with quad core Exynos. And this is quad core version of Snapdragon coupled with Adreno 320; what will it do to the other quad cores!!! I know GS2 almost ruled a year. But it seems like GS3 will not be able to do so; its not even 6 months have passed.

Marco, 28 Aug 2012Hello Tom and Mark - as you call yourself amungst other thi... moreWhattttt????? Man, you don't have a clue for what you're talking about. Comparing SGS3 to LG Optimus 4x is ridiculous! It's likely a battle between David and Goliath. That's why LG priced their Optimus 4x much lower than Galaxy S3.

Again, my point of view was poor battery life among LG smartphones, not features and specs. Read my previous opinion carefully before post a reply. Lol.

Hmm....so the new Galaxy Note 2's camera will be at least 12MP and also 2GB ram in order to compete this...

LG is always first to announce the spec-sheet. They announced the first dual core, quad core etc..But others will hit the market before them. Recall that the 4X was announced first but GS3 hit market with availability!!!. I assume that they will hit the international market by next year.. By that time Samsung will announce their new device with better spec and better software.

Too bad it's LG because the software is going to suck and the device will never get updated. Learnt my lesson twice now LG and will never got another LG phone. Never again!

BATTERY POWER is a big CONCERN here!

all the great FEATURES, speed, screen, camera, etc. will be NO USE at all once the battery is DYING in no second, so whats the point?

lets prove its battery power once it hits the market. if what i say above came TRUE, then its TOO BAD!

AnonD-65102, 28 Aug 2012This phone of LG is awesome but for me there'll be no reaso... moreYour SIII rules nothing, other than marketing. 4x is better overall, and unless the need for on-board storage is high, so is the One X.

Yes, Optimus G is much more power efficient than the current Tegra and Exynos, it's a completely different chipset based on a newer ARM generation. Still, they should have kept the battery size of 4x, or gone even higher. The more battery power, the more fun between the charges. If only someone bothered to compete with Motorola here, other than Xiaomi - which does not sell internationally anyways. . .

Mark, 28 Aug 2012It's very ugly and in the terms of usability it has nothing... moreHello Tom and Mark - as you call yourself amungst other things.

You may not like the design, cause you clearly have no taste, but I do. And probably so does many others. It's very good.

In terms of usability, this will be able to handle next gen phone games. SIII, will not. Both the CPU, and especially GPU, is in a completely different league. Not just games, 3d- rendering apps will work faster and smoother.

Most important of all, you can use it outside and still be able to see what's on the screen! LG has, at least not this far, released a recent device with a screen as crappy as the SIII's, or even worse - the Note.

The phone looks so nice and the specs is really high. The only problem is that LG cannot be trusted to provide good working software and future updates.

The phone is really tempting though.
