Anna, 08 Jan 2021Microsoft is working really hard to improve their Edge brow... moreThey are working hard and developing it really fast. I watch their updates on Microsoft Edge Insider and they definitely do care. It's not better than Firefox yet (apart from memory management, that's where Firefox fails), but it might surpass it in a year or two. It needs more features. Hopefully they do like Vivaldi but without all the Vivaldi bugs (which make it unusable).

Cyberchum, 08 Jan 2021Great. Keep all your data to yourself. No one is forcing yo... moreNot only are you clueless and ignorant about how politics work, you are also ignorant on data mining and privacy.

Whatever browser I have used on either Mac, Windows, iOS or Android none works as smooth and has gestures perfectly implemented as Safari, especially on Macs.

have been using Edge dev since day one and this was the only feature stopping me from moving to the stable builds, can't wait to try out

I always use Edge browser. Works perfectly fine.

Firefox stil the best browser, ms is learning

Unfortunately, the crucial item of synchronization, which is History, is still missing. At least here in the Czech Republic. Version 87.0.664.75 (Official build) (64-bit version)

Anna, 08 Jan 2021Microsoft is working really hard to improve their Edge brow... morePreviously I was so heavily reliant on Google eco-system, I could not think of using a phone without my absolute necessary apps like Gmail, Chrome & Keep. Two weeks back I got hold of a Honor 9X Pro (6/256 GB, Global variant), as they were selling dirt cheap in India @INR 12.75K ($170/€156) for stock clearance. This is the first time I used a phone devoid of Google Mobile Services (GMS) as 9X Pro is solely reliant on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). Hence no Google Playstore in this Honor.

After using the phone for two weeks without GMS, now I can safely say I can live with it. Inbuilt Huawei AppGallery and authentic Amazon AppStore fulfills 70% of my app needs in this phone. For the rest 30% I get it from ApkPure app store. In this phone I have completely switched to Microsoft Cloud based eco-system. I trust it. Believe me when I say Microsoft eco system is damn good on Android. Just never used it before as I was so accustomed to the Google ecosystem on Android.

                      I changed from:
                      a) Google Gmail -> Microsoft Outlook
                      b) Google Chrome -> Microsoft Edge
                      c) Google Keep -> Microsoft OneNote
                      d) Google Docs, Sheet, Slides -> Microsoft Office

The Edge browser particularly impressed me. I can safely say it has reached to the level of Chrome, maybe just 2% behind. Everything is as snappy as Chrome but with more added features like Collections tab which I love. In my Windows PC, I synced all my Chrome bookmarks & history to Edge on a second and voila, it is now available on the Edge browser of my PC as well as to Honor 9X Pro thanks to similar cloud based eco-system like Google. In my eyes Microsoft is the saving grace on non GMS Android phones.

Microsoft is working really hard to improve their Edge browser based on Chromium. It is much better over Chrome and Firefox on Windows OS. It is my default browser on Windows 10 However, still it does not support chromium addons on Android OS due to which I cannot shift to it on Android.

[deleted post]Agree. Some of us are also already locked in Microsoft ecosystem and don't want to split data with Google. I was in the windows phone/mobile ecosystem for a long time and faced difficulty while switching to Android. Now my data is spread across Microsoft, Google and Samsung.
I was hoping Samsung would provide a Microsoft+Android experience. Since we have Android surfaces now, I hope Microsoft provides an alternate service for all the Google services in Android.

About time, really. Now I see even less reason to use Chrome browser.

Linux wen? Experience so far on Linux is good, only thing is it's lack of sync for my ever changing bookmarks. Looking forward to future updates.
