They should work on the New streaming service that EVERYONE else supports DISCOVERY+ , for some reason I thought that with the WEB OS 6.0 it would ADD DISCOVERY+ to the apps , but, that is a big NO! on that issue I am done with LG never buying them again !!!

noname, 09 Jan 2021They removed play / pause buttons from the remote. There ar... moreYeah, I love the fact that play/pause buttons are quite large on my remote control. I can't believe they just removed it now xD

LG *does* put out updates - I'm still getting reasonably frequent updates to my 2016 model OLED. They just don't usually update old hardware with *major releases* -- if you bought a model with WebOS 5, you don't get WebOS 6. There's ZERO reason to expect LG to do that.

They removed play / pause buttons from the remote. There are tons of stupid and not used buttons but they remove the most necessary ones from a video player device.

If no update to older tv.... then what the use... of buying so expensive tv if we do not get updates then will never buy lg tv

As much as haters gonna hate, I actually like LG's TVs.
Not only are they currently the best, better than Sony and Samsung, when it comes to the Screen Quality (LG's OLEDs are best). But the User Interface of webOS is more fluid, less laggy, and more intuitive than what I've experienced on Sony's AndroidTV interface, or Samsung's Tizen interface.

With that said, if you want the "best" interface, it might be worth either using a dedicated Nvidia Shield TV Pro, or even better to use a Customised Windows10 Pro HTPC.

Lyndino, 08 Jan 2021Why not integrate assistants into the older WebOS 3.5? How... moreJust get mi box or firestick or Nvidia shield and you have powerful and supported OS with lots of apps. Panel and processing is more important in a TV.

Yey more stupid data syphoning assistants ...

Exactly why their phones are a failure because they don't support anything they release

Will never buy a TV with a substandard unsupported OS with low spec chips with min storage and min ram.

So the home screen is now full screen? What a stupid decision.. In previous versions, you could keep seeing your broadcast/app in background while you made up your mind on what to watch next.

Why not integrate assistants into the older WebOS 3.5?
How many upgrade tv's every 2 years? or sooner.
