The resale values of all Android phones are terrible. That's why I don't recommend buying the top tier flagship Android phone on launch day. And never pre-order.
Also, Apple updates iPhone software for 5+ years. For Android phones, you're on your own after 2 years. Yes, you can flash your own ROM etc but most people don't care about that... their time is precious and they have more important things to do.

Samsung doesn't want to pay the Qualcomm tax and chose to use an Exynos in certain markets to grab a higher profit margin. That's all.

Everything except the CPU in S21/S21+ are a copy or inferior to S20/S20+ with very little price cut. If they bothered to use this 10 MPx optical 3x zoom instead of this 64 MPx gimmick, it could have been considered as an upgrade in camera and CPU specs (but still a minor one compared to what S21 Ultra offers when compared to S20 Ultra) and a downgrade regarding lack of Micro SD or QHD resolution.
Now it's pretty much pointless to upgrade from S20/S20+ to S21/S21+ and I hope they will see this in sales numbers. The most insane thing for me is that the S20FE is still WAY better option than S21.

The reason they lost market share is because Chinese companies offer more value for money, but as an Xperia user for the last 10 years and more..Ill never buy any Chinese branded phone if Xperia closes down. It will be either Panasonic or LG or Samsung

1ii records 10bit videos at 24,25,30,60 and 120fps. With wind filter.
Gorilla 6 both sides.
Dual front speakers. The graph of gsmarena shows it has best results of all phones.
Jack, sd slot. No need to use tool to access tray.
Uses less power per minute for same tasks (tests show this evidence).
Lower temperature while charging.
Battery with longer lifespam.
Already has android 11.
Heat Supression (you can for example use many apps for hours without spending 1 mAh from battery.
The ufs3.0 is faster than the ufs3.0 used by OP.
Do not forget:
- OP is designed in China, assembled in China, has many chinese components that are cheaper and dont pay import fees. That brings costs down.
- Xperia is designed in Japan, assembled in Thailand, no chinese pieces. Also ppl from Sony Music, Sony Pictures, Sony Alpha helped on its project. That is not cheap...
Comparing prices of phones is not just looking at how much ram/storage, chaging watts and battery size.
