abigfanoftechs, 14 Jan 2021I see. That person is making nonsense sound like a big deal or something. You brought the most straightforward solution and it wasn't enough. I have a old Note4 and ain't fussing of having it plugged in despite having the original 6 year old battery inside🤷♂️

abigfanoftechs, 12 Jan 2021Just power it directly with the USB cable/adapter? Most phones do not bypass battery. Only a few do, like the ROG Phone 3. ("Bypass charging")

or.... we can just stop buying a new smartphone each year, or maybe all smartphone makers should make smartphone works like a laptop which can be updated as long as we like. the 10 years old laptop is more usable than 5 years old smartphone these day

AnonD-973296, 12 Jan 2021rlly?, i still have my mom's note 3 neo and works good... moreConsider yourself lucky. Mine was not total emmc fail but the thing ran slow and corrupted photos in its internal storage without warning. Yours maybe even rarer being a neo model.

abigfanoftechs, 12 Jan 2021Just power it directly with the USB cable/adapter? That's not gonna work unless the phone has the same hw feature present in the last rugged samsung Tab with ip68+removable battery. Which enables it to draw power from AC and bypass the need for a battery.

Samsung really need to convince their customers to upcycle their products since their purchases don't last under a year of useful updates.

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2021I saw an in display camera phone in this video . See video ... moreNo they take the front camera of some phones in their product adverts they done it with the note 10 and 20 ultra in a advert for another samsung product trust me they would not show off the under display camera briefly in a video like this there would be a whole event for a new line of phone with this feature but good shout anyway ! 😊

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2021How are we supposed to upcycle old phones with dead batteri... moreExactly my thoughts. Instead of "upcycling" we could simply reuse old phone if we were able to replace batteries easier.
I know personally how difficult it was to open the back of an S8 and S9. Even cracked it on one. I also had to soak the battery in isopropanol alcohol. Is this eco friendly now?
Samsung spends more money on BS ads to deceive people than making battery replacements easier...

AnonD-765630, 12 Jan 2021Sorry but I don't want a chair or table from a Samsung... moreWhat should they do instead?
Seems like everybody has a better answer for the attempts other people actually make.

Sorry but I don't want a chair or table from a Samsung TV Box and imagine the number who do this will be quite limited and short term.
Another marketing ploy rather than real change.

Meh, such PR marketing
Just say out loud, Samsung won't include accessories in box anymore
