And it's a questionable upgrade even for S9 and S10 (I have both and I keep them). From S10 to S20 - may be. But I've learned that even S10 was somewhat a downgrade from S9.
And the "price decrease" point is laughable: I've got my brand new S10 last month from an official retailer for $450.

Guys, Just compare last years S20+ with this years S21+, except for the snapdragon chip, everything is same. Infact the S20+ is better in display with WQHD 4k display of 500+ppi but s21+ ditched that and put normal FHD display with 394ppi .Are they shitting us?

Well this i agree 100%, android phones just aren't worth of high price, their value and support is really bad and that's why very few buy high end android phones anymore.

Samsung released cheaper s20 'fe' version at the end of the year to get more sales (they even admitted that) probably with lots of components lying around.
I agree s21 has awesome new design and probably better soc but are all other downgrades worth the price reduction, in europe no because s20 is now on sale here and offers more things than s21, sure with bad soc but does that matter to most people, probably not.

Selling phone or any product need to be lot more expensive than the building cost so the company can run a business and ship all those devicesm pay for workers and so on, if you think €800 from that is profit, you have no idea what you are talking about! Haven't you seen the shark tank series? selling price should be average 3 times more than building cost to cover all the costs to make a product.
And again if you think €1200 is expensive it just means you don't see the value there unlike many others will see. You are propably paying lot for something in your life where many others wouldn't see value and think you paid a lot for it. I have €4000 75" TV. Not many would put so much money for a TV, but as i'm a movieholic and big fan of movie, i want the experience to be very good and enjoyable, frankly i'm already thinking to upgrading to 82" :)

The S20 Ultra production cost is €500 and sold with almost €800 more in profit, so with that extra €800 you're paying for the sustainability of the brand and their Ads, not your phone.

Jewelry can cost millions, what's your point? inside that 16cm you have a very powerful mini computer and unlike computers, you also have great video cam, great camera and so on. If you think the price is too high it just means you don't really need the things what it offers (nowdays mostly the camera), so you are lucky and can buy cheaper model! For me phone is one of the easiest thing to pay lot because you just use it so much and for so many different things. in other hand i wouldn't pay $1000 for laptop, because i just don't need one.

Plus, the S20 Ultra really was breaking incredible ground. Price ignored, it had incredible zoom for the time, 108MP camera, 120hz screen, great battery life and great performance on SD865. To top THAT spec sheet means more costs for diminishing returns.

But the S21 offers double the storage, 3 Cameras, 120hz Dispaly and Integrated 5G.
Although its back is a well made matte plastic (Which it has its own advantage over Glass)

Samsung's Dual telephoto is 10MP with Dual Pixel AF. Compared to 8MP. Not only that Samsung's 10x Zoom only needs 2 Folds vs 5 Folds on Huawei's 10x Zoom.
It is good to be the first btw.

Huawei did most of this (and better) a whole year ago, Samsung is just capitalising over the fact Huawei isn't in the competition anymore, I was expecting the 3 axis OIS system (gimbal system as vivo called it on their phone) on the s21 ultra
This is just a fine tune version of the S20 ultra... Disappointing
Better to the the last year S20 ultra instead of s21 and s21 plus as S20 ultra dropped its value
