As big as xiami become, this come not as a surprise. wait until oneplus get that big the same fate awaits them. Still I just hope they keep getting google, because that's all I care. getting my mi 11 next week.

Trump really an idiot. Ban such product will only makes it hard to request them to come back will only make the US a poor begging child later on.
Moreover his damn ego will only make the US to pay more for imported foods and goods.

Political economy, that's all. iPhone expensive but not the best, Huawei almost good as iPhone, but cheaper, war zone U.S ban Huawei. Now, the same xiaomi, cheap, sometimes better than iPhone, ban!!!., Chinese is the world winner cheap phones.

I knew it would happen, USA doesn't like competition. Even with their allies they did that, France, Germany, Japan, they imposed sanctions with hefty fines and sued to destroy or take over this company for their own benefit. They try to use the same criminal methods against China, they know they can't steal China like they did with their partners, they try to isolate China from others, but China is getting stronger despite the sanctions, because China will not give up in its technological development.

The tone of these posts always gives away the 'bias' of GSMArena's mods [ I hope they don't delete this comment :) ]
Another PRC company, namely COMAC was also included in the blacklist, which GSMA didn't mention in this post and (weird considering they mention non-smartphone companies like DJI )....interestingly there's a lot of evidence regarding COMAC's involvement with the 'Party'.

also xiaomi buys a lot of the tech in their phones from samsung and qualcomm, the only thing they seem to make is the charging tech.

While I will agree I dont like the CCP and any company related to it, I'm still wondering why instead of applying those bans to Xiaomi (which seems to me, more clean than Huawei in this regard), why they dont ask Apple first to leave China? Apple is an US based company and they have left them off the hook regarding that topic

Every app registrated in US do the user data sharing too with the gov. Everything is doing it and everyone. USA is not better then any other country. Privacy broken by USA is not tolerated. It's not something that it's OK if USA is doing it. Huawei ban is total attempt to remove competition and totally only market war. There is no threat to anyone. Even without a back door it isnt that hard do hackers to hack. And sensitive information should always be off the grid for each country and even that dont prevent leaking. There is no safe in computer software and it's never impossible while it's always impossible to make safe system that is not hackable. Difference is only in is it easy or hard but not impossible

sick people make sick coutry . Huawei and xiaomi over iphone any time every day . Almost everyone i know use xiaomi or huawei and samsung is popular to. why waste money on something like iphone .
