We all know that trump is vindictive racist homophobe and the greatest supporter of the US conglomerate business and its America first policy. He knows that once Xiaomi will be entering the north america market, it just a matter of time, that it will over take Apple as the number 1 phone company. heck, even jugernaut Samsung was not able to stop it from over taking India in just 3 years.

      Its a good news as Chinese Govt were trying to hold full command in various sections in the World by controlling there homeland companies where they have to share each and every data's to their Govt whenever they ask which is a high security risk for other countries if they are using Chinese mobiles and there data's are storing in China not in there own country. . . Atleast some politician are thinking about there country whether they hate China or love own country whatever the case is, it's a good decision

        that Xiaomi is 3rd biggest mobile company and is about to enter the North american region and the ban was put before Trump would be out of power is kinda fishy to me.

                    Good job President Trump, a bold decision indeed, I hope Google will remove all Google Apps from Xiaomi (including stiop providing updates to all current Xiiaomi phone) soon Xiaomi phone will not able to run YouTube, Chrome, Gmail, Play Store, next up no more Snapdragon, Mediattek, Exynos chips for Xiaomi, if Manu Kunar Jain date to step his foot on US or Canada soil, arrest him instantly, charge his for spying on behalf of CCP.

Its not hard to see that all brands will migrate to custom OS (Harmony OS perhaps)...Stupid decisions..

                                    For example, OEMs maybe forced to buy mid-range SoCs if they want flagship SoCs.
                                    So many ways for Qualcomm to donimate.

                                    I remember when Intel used to do coerced OEMs.
