Anonymous, 15 Jan 2021So are most other brands once they've gained traction ... moreYes but OnePlus aren't easy to get in the west, LG phones are practically non existent here and as I live in the states I haven't seen a single Motorola phone advertised with a compatible stylus like the s pen pro; oh and the apple pen still doesn't work on iphones and is shit for drawing said friends of mine who use an iPad for drawing. as of right now Samsung has the best Pen ecosystem for the phones that also have the biggest markets outside of Asia which in turn has a larger and more accessible market too.

"Perhaps an even bigger deal is that Samsung is opening up the S Pen to third-party companies that sell Wacom-based styluses."

Hang on a minute, isn't that what LG basically did? They do offer active stylus support for the V60 and the Velvet and you can use any AES-supported stylus in the first place, particularly from Wacom itself.

Hope i can get an s... moreHaving got a Note 20 Ultra, and run a phone shop, I can honestly say that it would be a compromise to get a phone for under £500. They're usually underpowered and the screens aren't as good. They don't use premium components. They also don't have 12GB Ram or massive amounts of storage to store things on. The features you get aren't going to be the same level of refinement. The likelyhood of any touch pen working with something that is so underpowered, it would probably be unlikely. You want all the features then buy a device that supports and is designed for it.

If you want something cheaper with a pen, then look at a motorola, which has an integrated pen coming with one of its devices.

P... moreI agree with you, but the reason i buy Samsung phones is because of ther built quality and powered by android OS, but since their prices are skyrocketing every year with little to nothing upgrades i am having a second thought. by the way i have used my brother's IPhone for one month it was a nightmarish experience for me because i used to use download managers for downloading movies, downloading third party movies apps etc. but in iphone i couldn't find a decent browser, my downloads stopped while there was a screen lock .. i can't explain , But to be fair IPhone is very nice its OS is perfect in terms of lags and battery in my opinion it is best for social media and simple task not for a heavy user like me.

Ugh, no, Samsung isn't "opening support" for third-party pens. They just use the same Wacom EMR technology. Obviously they'll work... They've been working with the Notes ant Tab S (and all Tab A with S-Pen) for years now.
