Is it just me or does the WP platform have ridiculously good-looking phones? I mean..first the Lumias and now this..im just loving it™ :D

Also about this Android vs WP apps debate..Isn't the main feature of WP8 having the same kernel as the Desktop Windows 8? I watched the video where Microsoft announced WP8 and the guy said something like "When someone writes a program (or an "app") for Windows 8, he now has a super easy port process to Windows Phone 8." Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this means that WP-appstore-whatever-its-called could grow quite fast.

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2012Most probably you could show him any phone and he would thi... morewhile that might be true, you cant deny the similarities are there. Sammy should stray away from that design. Look at Lg, Sony, Motorola, HTC, or almost any other android manufacturer, their phones have completely different designs and dont ressemble the iphone at all.Im a big fan of nokia design(own an N8), sony's new xperia line is looking sweet too(will switch to an xperia S once i get the cash).

AnonD-2349, 31 Aug 2012 A's story 'A' wakes in morning, b... moreI get your point, and is fair point on some level, but have you actually checked WP apps recently?

By the way, I was not going to start this useless WP apps vs Android apps discussion, I did not even mention them, so why are you changing the subject? All I wanted to say is that WP needs less resources, that is all. That is why WP phones are sold with different hardware to Android phones.

Yeah, Project Butter is a good start, but how many devices have actually got them and will get? You won't even need your second hand to count them on your fingers.

oh and while person A and B are measuring their dicks (read, showing off with their phones), person C is actually using the phone, whether it is a WP phone or Android, or iPhone.

oh, btw, project butter makes those "many-apps" phone run smoother...

Sammy REALLY needs to change their design. I showed a pic of this phone to a friend(He's not too tech savvy) and he asked if it was an iphone. I really hate how all sammy phones look pretty much the same. Loose the home button sammy.

AnonD-2349, 31 Aug 2012 A's story 'A' wakes in morning, b... moreWhile i agree with your argument to some extent, there is a small detail we cant leave out. While it is true that WP8 has a relatively small app portfolio, we still dont know if it will grow. Let's skip a few months into the future and assume that WP8 has the same popular apps and games available as android, then person B can also install the same games and apps as person A. In that scenario then person A and B can compare both devices fairly(so to speak). Bottom line, lets wait till WP8 is properly launched and see what it can do.

                pls, 31 Aug 2012Oh, and I don't give a damn what you need or don't need, I ... more A's story
'A' wakes in morning, bored, picks a android phone, unlocks it ,finds a lag in transitions but anyway opens dead trigger, call of duty blackops, spider man, batman, modern combact 3 etc etc etc
returns to homescreen ( finds some lags again ), downloads many apps from playstore and shows it to his friend in the evening which is person 'B'

                B's story
'B' wakes up in morning, bored, picks his windows phone opens home screen, move tiles here and there, opens menus, closes those menus, again move some more tiles here and there in the home screen and does that for 2 hrs saying to himself--(in caps for you 'pls') MAN, THIS PHONE IS VERY SMOOTH, IT REQUIRES SO MUCH LESS RESOURCES THAN THOSE ANDROIDS AND THOSE FANDROIDS DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE MISSING...

and later meets with 'A' in the evening showing off menu transaction in counter of many apps shown by 'A'...
                ...END OF STORY...

acco to you (pls) we should go for windows phone as its smooth and requires less resources like some macs seem to be more responsive in pc market than sometimes lagging windows pc, yet we all buy windows and you should know why..i.e. its openness and ability to use many apps and games made for it and not macs. Even though we dont need so many apps or processing power we get from high end win pc, we still buy it

similarly we go for openness and vast app library in play store with more processing and features in our phones than opting for your so called 'SMOOTHNESS' in win mobile.

i hope you get the idea

Oh, and I completely agree about Symbian, it's a great OS, it's been developed and polished to a such level where it could easily compete with other OS'es. The only problem is the image, people forgot it and only people who actually follow the news know what this OS is capable of. I know it's capable of a lot of things, I use it myself.

if the os is as lite as claimed, why cant a single core windows phone record 1080p videos at 60fps???

and don't ask why I need it. I simply want it. who are you to decide what I can have or not? idiota.

Jesus christ... some people are so over the top OBSESSED with hardware numbers, that it just blows my mind. How do you not understand that Windows Phone OS is so optimized that it doesn't need gazillion-core CPUs and million gygabites or RAMs? IT DOES NOT NEED IT. Single-core Windows Phone outperforms any dual-core Android or iOS device, so imagine what could a dual-core WP device do to a quad-core Android phone? IT's ALL ABOUT OPTIMIZING YOUR SHIT AND MAKING IT EFFICIENT. I never write in caps, but god damn, people, some are such retards.
