Are all Motorola phones now going to be so huge and heavy ? Pretty sure this one weighs more than 210g..

I wish motorola would come with a successor to the lenovo p2.
This one looks like it could fit that somewhat.
All I want in a phone is:

BIG battery
midrange soc (think 720/730/750, something's that not too powerhungry)
sd card
at the very least 8gb of RAM (basically necessary to run android smoothly these days)
FLAT OLED screen
nfc
stock-ish rom (something motorola still provides)

not necessary but definitely a plus:

capacitive fingerprint
stereo speakers
3.5mm
ir-blaster (yea who am I kidding)
ip-rating

It's unbelievable how little phones there are out there that fit this description. Most of them are samsungs which have horrible socs & software imo.

I also think these pics are fake. Knowing motorola has been ruining pretty much every phone in some way or another in the last couple of years, this phone will probably still have a curved screen.

Ritesh, 20 Jan 2021There is no screen issues with edge+. using for past 6 mont... moreSure there are acreen iasues with the edge plus. I am going through my 3rd device so far and it arrived with the same issue as the first two, namely screen uniformity issues, and green hue in various parts of the screen. Turns out you can have as many replacements as you want, the chances of getting a bad one are more than 50%. The only sure way to fix this is have it repaired (shame to have a brand new devixe opened) at which point they put on a new screen made with updated procedure and an extra layer of protection so that it will not happen again and this is ubfortunately the route I am going to follow. Hopefully they adressed the issue with the new edge s

The Edge+ is way too slippery and fragile. The back needs to be ballistic nylon, not fragile glass. Get rid of the curved screen too.

Neil, 20 Jan 2021The edge+ is the absolute best phone on the market to me. ... moreMine had screen issues in 1 month. Hopefully you have a better experience. Other than that and slow charging, I was also happy with it.

Moto G Power is $150 or less in the US. 6.4" 1080p, SD6xx, 3.5mm, and SD slot.

Seems a exciting mobile. Moto please do something to reincarnate the Z series. I love the Mods concept and it pains to see that its being discontinued.

Either this Edge S is a mid-cycle upgrade to the Edge+ or this will be a base version of an upcoming Edge+ replacement with SD 888 chipset. Either way, the 105Hz refresh rate is definitely an oddity.
