Look at the people running it before it was sold and after it was sold, its the same Huawei executives. Which is a good thing.

Don't be fools. Huawei did not sell Honor to get rid of the the brand. They sold Honor so they can keep doing what they are doing. It was clearly stated that Honor won't be changed in any way. All the people who were behind every Honor phone back when they were with Huawei, are still working on the current devices. Literally the only thing that has changed is the ownership on paper so they can negotiate getting back with Google etc. You can be sure, Huawei will follow soon. I expect the Biden administration to lift the ban.

Huawei doesn't own any shares in Honor anymore. That's the whole purpose of the deal to avoid restrictions or otherwise the existing restrictions would still apply. Huawei may possibly still have a contract though with a buyback option in the future

Vivo is offering better cameras and value for the same price. Also Honor did with 30 series. Also Xiaomi do with Remi phones.
If they want to sell, Google Play Services will be not enough. Or they recover their previous value/money or they will flop and disapear. Another overpriced macro + depth sensors upcoming.

Honor seems to be on the right track. Choosing the right chipset for the price range, getting GMS back & launching a competitive device. I predict they're gonna be fine under the new leadership.

Yes, they do provide employments but not like US companies didn't benefit from it. Also, if they kept manufacturing in US, they wouldn't have been able to compete if other countries manufacture it in China and then able to either provide just as good alternative for a cheaper price or gain huge profits in which they can use for R&D, not to mention the huge market share in China too.

Doesn't sound right but those companies accepted it so they can do business there. US can do the same to them and let China decide if they want the market or not.
