The 4G version wont be cheaper, just sold in Africa. I dont understand why Samsung is obsessed with 5g yet $250 phones today have 5G.

Best for our Sub Sahara Africa, let me say Africa in General. We don’t even have good 4G implementation yet. Every device has a target audience or market.

Both processors (Snapdragon 888 & Exynos 2100) have an integrated (internal) 5G modem.

Why are they bothered about 5G availability?be it coming even after 3,4 years later!!?5G capability chipsets support earlier 4g 3g 2g also,its not that new 5g phones arent supported in 4g zones...only thing is no 5g connectivity...this is just scam to give weaker processors like notorious exy 990 ,9810 at same price

Last year, this would have been the model I'd get(if it were cheaper than the 5G model). Suddenly in the last 6 months I not only have sub-6ghz 5G, but also wicked fast mmWave 5G in my neighborhood! I was thinking it was going to be years before I could use, considering I'm not in major city.
If you have 5G networks available, skip this. If no 5g available, this is probably going to be a better deal.

The only downgrade I don't mind is cellular generation since Germany has no infrastructure for this or even basic DSL.
It's not going to save the new models because of all the other downgrades, which unlike this one, don't reflect in the price.
