Android 12 could finally bring the double tap on the back gesture

This is absolutely something I need for my Oneplus. Double tap to go back/ open google assistant; triple tap to take screenshot/ open an app, so darn convenient! Please make it happen instead of scrapping it again like you did on Android 11.

Its got double tap and triple tap for two functions. It works surprisingly well too, for the screen off and screenshot actions i assigned them to. Lots of customisation and sensitivity adjustments.

I've tried tapping my iPhone XR with back tap function enabled and it doesn't register double or triple taps from the front. Either it's all done via accelerometer or they do exclusion via display touch sensing. Either way, it works as advertised and it was added with OS update so I'm guessing same thing on Android, via accelerometer which all phones have anyway.

                        The Amazon 10or mobile is a very good product with the 'squeeze' functionality. Only it has some software glitches. I am using it for 3 years

How reliable it is when you are in public and you have to remove your mask to unlock your phone each and every time ? Surely Face Unlock is a great feature but only keeping it as a main lock-unlock mode is it even reliable ?
