I guess I'm the 1% that get a phone based on it's overall performance. I look for the best ram, storage, display I can get. The camera is an afterthought.
The S Pen is war more crucial for me than cameras, regardless if they can take a clear picture of the sun or Saturn's rings.
Samsung's DeX is far more beneficial than multi cams (I use DeX as a basis because I'm not sure what other brands offer with the same feature).

Just make a compact P50 with HarmonyOS and I'll buy it, Huawei. Just keep the same size as P40.

What Else should you lead into buying one? 99% of all flagships have the same Display, the same battery size, same OS, and many even the same design. The biggest difference between all Phones are the cameras and even then it comes up to your preferences because the Level of smartphone cameras nowadays are insane and that good. And even right now Huawei making the best phone cameras and there are only a handfull of Phones which can compete but are still losing in the end. The Camera the Main reason Most of the time. Unless you are little fanboy only hyping one company and hating other companys even if they are better.

Do you even know what kind of cameras they put on their flagship P/Mate series? They aren't the same as those pointless 2MP macro cameras that you can find on cheaper phones, and the company has been pushing the boundary forward multiple times when it comes to the smartphone camera technology.

I believe it was after this that the US banned Huawei products.

I will take this entire situation with the grain of salt, because Huawei had said that they had had no plan to sell Honor but 6 months later they did as the US ban got tighter and it became difficult for them to acquire parts for production. I like what they are doing in the mobile industry just as much as I like what Samsung and Apple do, so hopefully their smartphone division will find a way to survive somehow.
