could they be making audiophile high resolution audio players based on android platform or even better phones audiophile high resolution audio player hybrids, that could be rather awesome, imagine a proper and decent onkyo dp-cmx1 with both 3.5mm unbalanced and 4.4mm balanced output as well as supporting the high resolution wireless codecs, bluetooth 5.1, ldac and aptx hd.

          I don't recall the world ever needing more headphones. In the mobile electronics world, I think the void is in gadget phones - phones that are something more than a web browser and a bunch of crappy cameras in a boring glass slab.

Carl Pei used to work at Oppo so making high end audio is returning to his roots. UK is producing some good stuff at the moment i.e. Chord, iFi, RHA, Cambridge Audio etc. so he should fit right in.
