Am I the only one who thinks this is an old MSI design clone with a color change?

Zeper, 28 Jan 2021wats the point of this, when you can get a 5 dollar video c... moreThe point is that a procurement officer working in a large enterprise isn't going to fish around Craig's list for 2000 $5 graphics cards for their office PC refresh. Products like this are meant to be available to business partners in volume. This is why it's not available to the general public as well. It's not uncommon for products related to business application to be priced high. Look at the cost of enterprise software or even compare office desks to regular consumer desks and you will see a steep markup. The difference often being that volume pricing is available and that a company can put in an order for a large amount of the product and still have a timely delivery.

Yes please. We need to break this duopoly

To all fanboys of AMD or Nvidia, small reminder that Intel actually own more than 60% of market in terms of graphic chips, thanks to business market(working stations). It will sound weird for geeks, but most of people dont care what graphic card is inside computer that is used in work/school/company, and no, for companies ITS NOT CHEAPER to get some old ati/nvidia because that would require installation and companies want cheap computer for basic work with documents/internet/applications.

Its the same problem with fanboys that think that rooting or modding phone is important or what chip is inside.... No. 90% of Android users are people that dont even know what plug they use(microUSB or usb-c) for them its "android plug".

Just because you spend time in graphic heavy work/games or root your device and mod it every week doesnt mean that everyone do that. its quiet opposite: most of people dont care about that. So you know, open your eyes wider and see market in some wider perspective.

wats the point of this, when you can get a 5 dollar video card thats faster than this?

Knowing Intel, the driver will be... Well... Problematic. At least no one will use it for gaming.

This looks like a someone made DIY GPU with cheap components.

This is just the beginning. I hope Intel will have to push a little more smarter than the existing GPU manufacturers. Because in this era, we need powerful GPUs.

Why don't they just develop their iGPUs? Bruh, UHD 630 can't even compare to Vega 8. This dedicated GPU is good enough if it's free. But if they sell it? Nah.

I hope Intel can deliver more powerful GPU's... that would alleviate a little the GPU shortage.

Fulljack, 27 Jan 2021LPDDR4X has more memory bandwidth than DDR4. it's good... moreWhat are you talking bro LPDDR4X and its fast clock speed doesn't mean it's actually faster remember it has half the bus lanes and with a bit of math you can tell that a LPDDR4X-4266 is actually equivalent to DDR4-2133 in the amount of data it can transfer per second.
As far as GPUs are concerned they need more data lanes than clock speed. Clock matters but not much when you hit an upper limit of the available frequency.
You can always increase data lanes safely but increasing frequency by overclocking will definitely damage the memory at some point.

Have you seen the graphics card prices these days? The US/China trade war and miners have doubled the prices. I hope Xe-HPG will succeed.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2021why is this bad? Over time they may be able to make gpus to... moreThat is really bad compared to mid-range GPUs from NVidia & AMD.
                                    It's low low-range of GPUs.

I guess it is OK to run chrome OS on a desktop.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2021Lpddr4x? Not even ddr4? LmaoLPDDR4X has more memory bandwidth than DDR4. it's good for GPU where you'd like it keep feed with data as fast as possible.

but this isn't the fastest memory around, as that'd be GDDR6X.
