Its not like indians can't afford iphones.
They are wise to get a oneplus or samsung flagship instead of getting a overpriced apple's iJunks.
Last gen apple models and mini are much cheaper than a one plus device.

    Dear GSMarena,
Give me one non chineese brand name that still relevant in android phone industry rather than samsung.
There are only samsung & chineese.
Then whats the point of saying 77% indian sales are comes from chineese?

[deleted post]So what are those better alternatives for CCP phones?
Samsung? Its second best seller in india.
      Anything else?

[deleted post]Well maybe if Apple and Samsung didn't make such crippled phones, they'd have bigger success even with their current ridiculous pricing. I always buy cheaper phones than i can afford simply because the more expensive ones are crap. No 3.5 jack, poor batteries, edge displays (Well at least that's going away), crippled OS (iPhones)

Over government is very clever coz they don't wanna close the smartphone income from china but rest everything is close to show how much progress we have don't in this lockdown by banning china products but only those Which doesn't give us better profits.....

But they don't want to because all they care about is bang for buck due to their money constraints, not brand value. They go for the phone brands that offer the most value for their phones (processor, camera, display) and companies like Samsung don't provide that for most of its midrange or budget phones (with a few exceptions from their Samsung A and M series).

Water resistance for a mobile phone is a must. Not for talking while in bath but for that accidental splash.

I want a phone with good battery, 3.5mm jack and functional OS (Among other things, of course, but nothing the cheaper models lack is critical for my choice. I miss water resistance and wireless charging from flagships, but i can live without it). That disqualifies both Galaxys and especially iPhones.

I like how people are too early to judge everything.
Every year the share of Chinese phones will decrease there in India. So many India haters here. You don't know about the guy named Modi.
As far as I know. He banned major revenue making SSinese apps including tik tok. He banned the import of smartphones from SSina. Apple shifting its manufacturing to India. Samsung already established Asia's largest manufacturing plant in InBia. He already suspended railway contracts with SSina. He's providing incentives to other manufacturers to come to InBia. SSina want to show that it is not affected, so it is showing aggression to other weaker countries.
