Androids that cost more than $400 barely sell, Apple has 57% of the premium segment, the closest Android manufacturer is at a measly 19% :’D because most people who buy a phone for more than $400 will for for an iPhone and if they buy luxury they buy a modified luxury iPhone.

Your desperate clutching at straws is hilarious though, please tell us what luxury phone you use since you claim everyone who buys under $2000 is poor :’D
Are you richer than the Xiaomi CEO?
He uses iPhones.

Are you richer than the Board Members of Samsung? Because they mostly use iPhones to :’D

Most people who buy luxury goods use iPhones, Jeff Bezos uses an iPhone, so does Elon Musk and most of the richest people in the world.

LOL! In fact they all collaborate with Apple for their infotainment systems anyway, and your argument continues to weaken :’D

Most people who buy luxury goods are iPhone users in fact, which goes right back to the point that iPhone owns the premium segment and modified luxury iPhones own the luxury segment. :)

SizN80, 30 Jan 2021They do count :) just because you don’t want them to count ... moreHe is right... they aren't officially sold by the company.
BMW, Lamborghini all want to collaborate with Android manufacturers to put their logo on the smartphones. No one wants to collaborate with fruit logo greedy company.

Only poor people are worried about resale value. It's not the trait of people using luxury products. I guess now we all know which category you belong to.

My point remains valid, iPhone still owns the premium market and luxury market. :’D

Nobody buys flagship Androids and barely anyone buys luxury Androids as they lose value even faster than $1000 iPhones. :’D

No matter what Android you buy it is still an Android and will never retain good value.

Cheap iPhones will always remain in low end category below 2000$

The most expensive phones on the market are all Android.

Look at the marketshare of devices above 1900$.
              100% Android ruling there.

So apple still own the premium segment,as per usual they are the top seller of premium smartphones:)

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2021I hope huawei goes under. Xiaomi next. But I do hope that... moreOnePlus is dying of their own greed already (just look at Nord N10 and Nord N100). But Xiaomi shouldn't go under. They are the ones driving the midrange and budget smartphone markets now (alongside Samsung and Realme). If they go under, the competition will jus chill and not pick up and soon the new midrange and budget phones will just become crappy and overpriced.

[deleted post]While admittedly the market share battle is pretty obviously affected by geopolitical decisions - hence why Huawei got battered in 2020 with Xiaomi stepping up in their place - I absolutely agree that the mods here are remarkably bad at enforcing their own rules. Pretty sure I've broken them and all.

You know that if Huawei had Google services on its phones, it would be the world's leading manufacturer of phones and the largest seller in the world right now.

And you also know that the US ban has not provided a single evidence of spy ... and that it is an excuse for that Apple and Google do not lag behind Huawei ... and so you can continue telling children's stories around here .

This is why Apple will never bother spending money to make iphone better than flagship androids.

No matter how inferior they are, a single model like iphone 12 can alone outsell all flagships from Samsung, Sony, LG, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, Asus, Motorola, Zte combined.

Anyone can be number one if someone is helping to clear the path.
Of course that'll be only 1-2 companies on top when play dirty.
