Many technologies are usefull and have a lot of place to develop evolve and so on.
But some technology have no place and space to exist.
Look at the curved screens they do exist but yes Xiaomi MI Alpha were canceled because they were unable to make a phone which screen has been wrapped around whole device leaving just a tiny line for cameras.
Wireless technology for example is usefull and will be even beter as the time will flow on. Same goes for better camera, bateries, CPU, GPU and many else.
Even a fan inside the phone like Nubia did i see a point in there but some tech is just waste of money and plenty of people would find better way to spend those money.
By the way poor people mother nature and many else needs us right here right now.
What do you think will hapen if we for example cut the amazonian rainforest???
Now we wearing face masks and protection to prevent coronavirus spread.
Wearing oxygen mask whole day because nature will be unable to produce enough fresh air will be far worse than you could ever imagine.

If you dont agree me then please EDUCATE ME why are the folding screens usefull or where this technology can go. Because right here right now they cost so much and they are so fragile that i see no point making something which is insanely overpriced with zero durability and many else.
Like 1/3 or 1/4 population on planet is dying because they starving but yet Samsung LG and many else wants to develop foldable and rollable screens with zero durability.
My opinion is right to the pojnt but i wonder WHY PEOPLE LIKE YOU have always to disagree even they know and understand i am right.

Though I don't know how updates stand currently.

It's firmware updates are a joke its quality control is terrible, its after sales is even worse, and most of their products are mostly unfinished. Plus their cameras and UX leaves a lot to be desired.

Soon we find way how to wirelesly charge whole our homes or to catch a lightning from naure and transform this energy into something we can transfer to our houses and use.
How many storm do you think world have in a 24 hours??? And how many lightning bolts???
This is just one of many ways we can use wireless charging.
We can top up whole cities so we wont be rely on natural sources like we use now. For example gas or Coal which wont be here forewer.

Its like you said. First wireless charging was painfully slow but evolved and will frther evolve.
What do you think a bending rollable or foldable screen will evolve to???
Well no nothing from bendable and foldable you can get nothing new apart from gaving a TV for half million cost now to a TV with 50k cost in next 10 years.
But still you get a screen which is very thin and scratches at mohs scale 2 or less.
And the repair will be very expensive thats said fact.

I'm not hating on wireless charging tech. That other person you replied to did.
So that means that you two are the ones with the issue here. They are hating on wireless charge tech and you are hating on rolling screen tech.
Saying rollable and malleable displays are useless is like someone claiming wireless charging was useless in its earlier days just because its slow or not as well developed.
Displays that can bend and move are at a very early stage. That makes them in need of improvement. Not useless. In the coming years it will open many possibilities that will be well complimented by wireless charging tech.
Claiming jts useless is just immature and narrow thinking.

Even at WW1 which is more than 100 years ago when they developed first wireless device they believed wireless technology is future and have a lots of ways to be usefull.

I dont think anyone is going to make a tiny remote controler of a size of a car key where you press button and get a phone, press again and get a tablet, press once again and get a PC size laptop and if you press again get a tiny remote controller of a size of a car key.
Dont get me wrong but wireless was always a future.
I my self bear a dream of Nikola Tesla which believed he can with his creations gives free electricity to every household on earth and we can use Mother Nature and lightning and storms to gather its power to fuel our cities.
