Very good move in my opinion, I'm in for Stadia because it's pay once play when and where you want. GFN w/o premium is unplayable right now. Stadia doesn't need its own games studio, it's not a console!

The problem is Google trying to make a new platform, not cloud service that fewer people could experience. Look at GeForce Now

They're only closing their own developer ... moreNo internal studio means it's only a matter of time that stadia will cease to exist, no major console has survived more than 4 years without any internal studio, look at the failures of 3do, apple pippin, Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo Wii U, once their internal studio cease to exist, then only a matter of time the console will die a premature death.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2021Soon Stadia will close down too.. That's is very likely. Even Ps Now has better value than this. At the start of February they put 3 new games, but took out 4 games for Stadia Pro users. Lol.
Not to mention, their prices on some of the third party games (because you need to buy them if you want to play them, even with Stadia Pro subscription), is much higher than actual buying the game from store. So basically you are paying 10EUR/month just to have access to their servers. And games who come free with Stadia Pro subscription are small indie games or mobile like games (with few exceptions).
The only thing good about Stadia is that it has better connection than xcloud or Ps Now. But as soon as Sony and Microsoft will improve that, Stadia is bye bye. Their library of games is average at best.
I am so happy that I deleted my subscription and my account, before I placed even more money in the pathetic Google ass*s. Apple takes your money too, but at least they offer better services.

The primary reason Google has announced it's closing Stadia is simply because it has been unable to justify the limited amount of data harvested from Stadia users.
Illegitimate and unethical user data acquisition by Google is the life-critical oxygen required for Google's survival.

Hm.... to be honest I kinda forsaw that one coming....
Stadia could be a victorious solution of other companies hosted the games in their servers. and even weak PCs could play it. Like playing CP2077 on a weak PC.
That's my opinion obviously. XD

If google decides to shut down the servers, which they will do some day, every purchase will be lost.
