Swordman, 03 Feb 2021Almost all phone UIs have bloatware (except stock android).... moreIn the past few months, in realme ui, there is zero bloatware and same with color os. With one ui, bloatware is there in M Series. They have around 6-7 apps that can be uninstalled. They are mostly indian Tik tok alternative. And there is skype, LinkedIn, all microsoft office apps. And they can't be uninstalled

i0S...Never...Again, 02 Feb 2021It's the best offering in that price range. How can it... moreIt supports just 2 bands in 5G. Pray that telcos launch their 5G services in these bands else it's as good as a 4G device. 😂

Radeon, 02 Feb 2021This phone's UI still lags despite sporting powerful S... moreThe RAM management is due to MIUI trying to save battery. If you are ready to sacrifice some battery life in order to have maximum RAM available, you can go into the developer settings and scroll to the bottom to disable MIUI optimization. Regarding bloatware, I am sure you haven't seen the amount of bloatware on a Samsung yet. Extra tip: Use Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools to remove most non-system apps in MIUI. No rooting required.

-Currently using Mi 9, and used Samsung A50 for a few months.

i0S...Never...Again, 02 Feb 2021It's the best offering in that price range. How can it... moreIf you see the best sellingnphones of 2018 2019 or 2020 like iPhone XR or Samsung A51 the annual sales figures are something like 10 million or 15 millioon which means approx 1 million sales a month or even something like 600000 to 800000 sales a month and that too sustained sales over a year.

182000 phones sold in a month and that too in the first month with all the hype in my words is a 'FLOP'.

Also consider Xiaomi India revenue in 2019 was 5 billion USD. So 55 million is about 1% even of the Indian revenue. How does this classify as a hit by any measure?

Swordman, 03 Feb 2021Almost all phone UIs have bloatware (except stock android).... moreAs a miui user this is not true even in the EU they have bloatware (But have to use phone and messaging apps from Google to sell in EU) and in india too , but it is higher.
I do have a redmi phone and I have taken a look into the firmware of the Mi 10i it does have bloat , not a lot of it (better than before) , but most of them are not visible to you.

The only few bloatware in MIUI are some of its system apps and the region specific apps. One UI, Color OS, Funtouch OS have way more bloatware than MIUI.

It's one of the cheapest 5g phones in India until the Redmi Note 10 arrives in the budget segment.

In flash sales, limited numbers are sold.....Believe me, this is a success!!!

The 108mp camera ,HRR screen and mid range chip along with 5g will easily make the device futureproof for the next 5 years [for casual users].

This phone's UI still lags despite sporting powerful Snapdragon 750G. The RAM management is awful and almost all the apps reload when switching among the apps after a while. MIUI does have some handy features but the bloatware is too much. On top of this, the phone has only two 5G bands.

                                  Which means it's a flop.

4,000,000,000 might read like an impressive number but if you consider the price of the baseline variant is INR 22000, and assuming that all the phones sold were the baseline configuration, Xiaomi sold just about 182000 phones in 3 weeks, which is nothing great. In the past Xiaomi and Realmi have notched up sales of such number in 1 or 2 flash sales.

Also 4 billion INR is 55 million USD. Considering Xiaomis 2019 turnover of USD 32 billion approx, this is not even a drop in the ocean.

I think Xiaomi is just coming up with these figures just to create hype in the market.
