People are dumb sheep and companies got away even when they took atrocious steps like removing 3.5mm jack, charger from package, SD card slots. Sony makes very good phones but people hardly buy those.

The notch thing seems like a minority. Most people now dont care about the absence of the sd slot or a 3.5 jack either. Maybe its just the better marketing from apple and samsung.

Phone constantly freezed, sometimes touchscreen stopped to work. So I returned to Q with Companion software and all these problems are gone. Advice to other users - avoid to update to R if you can, until Sony polishes it more.

Most of the issues arise from the fact that no clean install has been done so if you just upgrade there a chance that everything will be smooth and there's a chance that something will be broken. Always do clean install not upgrade. Second Android 11 is half baked product to begin with, quick actions have six icons and then you pull them down to reveal those six icons per page instead of nine like the previous version. Google has no clue what they are doing at this point.

Problems & Bugs:
1- When you get a notification with the always on display: the icons of apps that have a notification are no longer displayed.
example: instagram or telegram icon are not displayed in the always on display.
2- In multitasking the ability to copy text directly into any app has been removed (it was a new android 11 feature that sony apparently removed) .
3- The application drawer now (in android 11) has a completely black background in "dark mode", and not dark gray like the previous version. (there is no possibility to set dark gray) .
4- The shutdown screen is not adapted to the 21: 9 screen and is too far up and difficult to reach.
5- The flashlight when used makes very little light compared to any other smartphone. Problem also of the last android version.
6- There is no possibility to use android's original Theme and Backgrounds system to change interface color and icon shape.

Aside from the odd color choice this is a great deal. Sony always offer's top quality in both phones and audio components. If it was available in Canada I'd probably ditch Shamesung for this deal.

actually the price for the pink version without the earbuds is some 800euro. the black version is 790eur. on amazon germany. for what it offers (compactness, frontal speakers, microsd, cameras, speed, 3.5mm...) the prices are pretty much in line with the competitors.

Its a valentine edition, it is meant to be gifted to female. Why would a man use a pink phone lol. I wish there was bordeaux red like on xz3.
