sam, 05 Sep 2012nice low and mid range devices from wp/nokia its a smart mo... more
stop bashing without trying! android 4.1 is the best os and running ttotally lag free ( tested in custom roms, in s3 ) and also already sony droids are offering a very fluid user experience on xperias from tipo till xperia s and latest xperia with all updates and best optimizations for mobiles and no lags! try jellybean and then talk! wp7 and wp8 with ugly metro ui will be always game for kids not smart droid!

narong, 05 Sep 2012why your company still make RAM so small than other compani... moreThis is an embedded platform, not a generic platform such as PC. Because of that, when they specify the requirements of the phone, they look at the OS they will be running in that platform.
Windows Phone is much more frugal than Android in that regard. They don't have larger amounts of RAM because they do not need those amounts to provide the same performance of an Android phone.
Obviously they could just put the same amounts of RAM that Android requires in their phones (and have a much better phone), but they don't because that is a tradeoff of Windows Phone: they need to compensate the licensing prices of Windows Phone vs Android somehow. They have chosen to cut the RAM to a performance equivalent.

Stopped reading at "the verge".
Provided both have solid imaging capabilities, I have no doubt the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 will be a success for Nokia.

It must be devastating for Nokia. I would imagine that waiting for WP8 is going to paralyse sales of Nokia's existing phones. I'm generally over the moon with my Lumia 710. The OS is very simple and straightforward, everything it does is rapid and smooth despite the single core processor. I expect it to be more complicated or difficult to use and it just isn't. However I think a lot of people won't go back to Nokia because everyone's first phone was a Nokia and people feel that staying with Nokia is a backwards step.

Interesting unit... but if it still has a micro SIM slot & fixed internal memory, i may pass on this one.
