The thing about this is, the question was what do you currently use. Most phones are moving away from having a headphone jack. If it weren't for that fact, I'm sure most people would still use wired earbuds because they are cheaper, and you don't have to make sure they are charged.

TWS nowadays are really great & convenient but wired are still miles better, not only having no latency but also only for fraction of price for the same audio quality level.

I don't like bulky headsets sitting on my head and messing up my hair. I also can't use earbuds because of the lack of isolation. So it's only inears for me.

If you want portability yes in ear is the best. But if you can't live without music like me and want to feel every bit of your music go for over ear. Mine is on ear. It is pretty good but will get over ear headphones soon.

i use a pixel 4a so i have a headphone jack but i went for wireless over ear headphones because I'm autistic and having cables dangling on my body makes me very stressed and frustrated.

although my headphones do have an auxiliary mode and i use that when im playing vr to avoid latency.

Anonymous, 07 Feb 2021Ok, fine maybe they last. I still maintain that they suck. The cable might be annoying most of the time, but audio quality compared to Galaxy Buds I payed €150 for, they are superior. I've had issues with the Galaxy Buds for over 6 months and with wired headphones, never.

Connection is unstable and interferes outside, wireless charging already broken on mine (after 4 times), replacement batteries for the case doesn't exist, all Web browsers have a 500ms audio delay with these as well.

Not a great experience with these specific wireless buds.

I have a pair of £60 pound wired earphones, and also the same price creative Bluetooth earphones, and the wired pair blows it out the water. I'd have to spend 200 to get a comparative pair of Bluetooth Earphones, I use both but for different reasons. This Is just me, everyone has their own preference and that's fair enough

A 802.11n 450Mbs cannot beat 100Mb Ethernet, AC1600 can almost reach Gbit Ethernet (I haven't stressed test higher AC standard ones and how much it would saturate). Wireless increase latency period, which is one of an important factor for audio.

Why do you think at all industrial applications, wired is prefer over wireless? No matter at Datacentre, Broadcasting centre or music studio? Wireless is convenient at given specific applications of sceneries, but if you want to make it run down to performance, wire always win. And it takes much more effort to make a wireless product to compete against wired, hence at cheaper the scale, wireless will be *much* inferior compare to wired. And you don't get absolute high-end on wireless. Look at Sennheiser, Sony, B&W and the likes. Their high-end all worth 1200+ bucks and are all *wired* solution.
