The screen does come with a frame. Sure easy but you end up replacing half the phone (including the battery) should the screen break. I repaired my Samsung Note Fan Edition (Asian model only) with a smashed screen and yes, it was half the phone that got replaced. Pretty expensive repair costs and that phone was no longer new (repaired during Note 9 era). Unlike iPhones where critical parts can be repaired easily.

I've dropped my S6 Edge twice. No any crack or scratch. As it is really old I use it without a screen protector.

Cheap trashhh junk plastic on S21.
            Who bought this trash phone?

I got the S21ULTRA 16gb Ram. Glass back silver.

It works until now, though this phone easily gets hot, but I‘m not sure that’s to blame on the battery. The old one was swollen and lifted up the back, and as soon as doing slightly demanding things like opening play store, It‘d shut down and be left with 0% charge, even it if was just charged to 100%

That is why I never care about having a plastic back, even on flagship-tier smartphones. Sure, you can brag about how "premium" your phone look. But when you use a phone case, that "premium look" bragging right is automatically gone. Of course, there are people who would argue about scratches, but I'd easily take plastic scratches over shattered glass all day long. What I really care a lot is the ease of repairability. Sure that no flagship phones at the moment are on the exact same level as Fairphone, but that's not to say it's not possible. It's just a matter of time before we see one in the future.

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2021Ever heard of home insurance which in most (civilized) coun... moreAccidental damage coverage has to be bought in addition and it's extra. It's available everywhere (countries). But it's not the point. The easier a phone can be repaired, the less expensive repair job it would be. Plus the longer lifetime the phone would have after repair job.

Being an anonymous troll without common sense couldn't make you smarter you pretend to be.

It’s probably just as expensive to repair as an iPhone these days, except you can swap displays on iPhones safely and easily (needs a certified technician to configure the settings)
