This will be probably the pinnacle of Xiaomi, and decline starting at Mi11 with that MSRP. OnePlus joined that club, and is hitting a steady downhill. Samsung drop their flagship price for a reason - not many are that insane to spend 800+ bucks on a device that bound to get replaced by new ones within 10 month at soonest, and yet, has limited productivity output.

Except for the Pocophone F1, all phones had problems (broken charging g ports, non responsive touchscreen while they didn't even had a scratch, disconnected selfiecam), so I think it depends on the model how your experiences are. I personally hate their software, and don't really know about the build quality (but there are models with better build quality thank God, if I read other people's opinions). I think their strength is the specs and the camera for a reasonable price, but they seem to have some compromises that are not suitable for everyone.

Great phones but I will never pay that money for just a badge/name. And this choice of mine is based on every day experience. All these complaining is like those fans from Mercedes, BMW and Audi wich they claim that their favorite brand is the best while others are garbage.
I know Xiaomi isn't perfect, but is on par with anyone on the market today, at any level.

And how do you know Apple or Google makes software updates with problems? Because you watched some Youtube videos or something. As someone who had both Apple and Google phones I can tell you that their softwares are the best in the market. Maybe not the most appealing and somehow boring looking, but definitely the most reliable and stable. Much better than Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung or Realme UI’s for example.
Hearing about some products and owning a product are two completely different things.
Is easy to say that Xiaomi phones are good when you didn’t had other phones in your possession to compare them with. And the fact you see other phones in your friends doesn’t count, is not the same thing.

Xiaomi has been doing great recently with their entry-level, mid-range, and flagship devices. The only thing they have to improve is the series branding. It's so confusing.

They need to improve reliability though, too many bugs, reminiscent of the early OnePlus days except Xiaomi has been around for years now and should do better.
If they can improve build quality and software , especially if they're willing to load a better, cleaner OS at least for the western market, and continued software support,they could sell much more phones.

Congrats Xiaomi,
Big batteries, fast chargers and cheap devices appeal to the masses. Numbers don't lie. Nay sayers can theorise all they want. I seek phones and Xiaomi devices never get sent back with problems. I use a Redmi note 9 pro and happy so far

Do you think that lower models from ANY other non chinese companies offers more support than Xiaomi?!!! 🤣 I own and use only Xiaomi phones for 5 years now. From Redmi note 4x all are working without problems and I had a few. My Mi10 lite has A11 from 2020 while more expensive Samsung's counterparts don't have it till this date.
Even apple and google, with a few phones, can't provide an update without problems, and he is "disappointed" by Xiaomi!
Get a life or another phone and stop complaining!

If he has the money and wishes to spend it in another brand, it is okay. He doesn't think they are reliable, neither do I. I'd rather go with a non chinese maker.
