I manage supply chain costing and outsourcing of global chips and component for many handset brand and all of them been tested in lab before released to factory. If those chips 100% sourced from Japan / US, would you willing to pay 4 or 5 times more than market price as what in the current market now? that's going to end up everyone will complain about that.

Being a worldwide component from africa, asia, europe... Does that mean they are not bad ? While ALL CHINESE component are bad
Being A cheaper component doesn't mean it is worse
It could be cheaper and at the same time better
Less marketing + more quantity + focusing in important parts and not is useless things like ip68 = cheaper
Unlike the REAL CHEAP COMPONENT OF THE KOREAN S20 wich is A CHEAP PLASTIC TOY, and we all know plastic is cheaper than glass, EXYNOS TRASH (idk for this year), trash resolution FHD (honestly not trash but worse And cheaper than the display of the mi 11, THE DISPLAY WICH XIAOMI CLAIMED TO BE THE MOST EXPENSIVE DISPLAY IN A PHONE EVER, so pleasd use your brain

Saying that curved edges displays are a problem ONLY because of how one hold his phone is as legit and stupid as Apple saying this for AntennaGate.
The truth is, as many other things, Android lack diversity, and curved edges displays should definitively be something that a special version of the phone have and not something the base/main model force to deal with.
I wouldn't be surprised if you are against the 3.5mm Jack, which would be an amazing irony.
