09 February 2021
There's an 8GB RAM variant as well that was spotted on Geekbench last December.

I mean 6gb or 8gb ram makes sense in a android phone (and I don't mean because of heavy skins like what Xiaomi uses) but 16gb? In a phone while most games that come out until this thing is obsolete, will never use that?

I mean 144hz screen and a fast CPU make more sense here, but it is funny to see that this phone has as much ram my gaming PC still has (planning for a upgrade soon)

Do benchmarks reveal a real performance index by RAM?
I mean, is it actually beneficial having a 16GB RAM instead of 8GB in real life, using Android apps and games?

(Assume, I'm referring to single app/ game/ task at one time, no multitasking. Yes, truthfully I don't want to type on whatsapp in notifications, while editing a video file in background, while also playing PUBG in the foreground.)

Also, something that I strongly suspect, if the RAM is 16GB, will the Android software automatically expand to consume 6-8GB of RAM?
