Isn't the AR and VR gear market completely down? Apple did buy the quantum dot sensor company (which was used for its facial recognition sensors apparently?). Either Apple is using the same company's patents for this, or they've acquired another company? 1inch seems too tiny for anything, unless they're making 1inch imaging sensors instead, for smartphones, trying to leapfrog the competition(?).
Suddenly, TSMC seems to have found itself as the factory for manufacturing anything and everything Apple. Interesting...

i thought TSMC only created chipsets, also i hope they are putting microLED displays on their next ipads
