06 September, 2012
In comparison, the previous Galaxy S II took almost thrice as long to reach the same milestone.

boof, 06 Sep 2012yeah 60 million americans!Maybe the iphone5 will be really good and worth buying. But such a long development period has put them seriously behind. Maybe if they spent more money on development than lawyers they would have a competitive product at the moment. iphone4 really should be in the museum by now, and the screen is too small. Also the ios is very dated compared to recent android developments.

Android applications run in a sandbox, an isolated area of the operating system that does not have access to the rest of the system's resources, unless access permissions are granted by the user when the application is installed. Before installing an application, the Play Store displays all required permissions. A game may need to enable vibration, for example, but should not need to read messages or access the phonebook. After reviewing these permissions, the user can decide whether to install the application.[85] The sandboxing and permissions system weakens the impact of vulnerabilities and bugs in applications, but developer confusion and limited documentation has resulted in applications routinely requesting unnecessary permissions, reducing its effectiveness.[86] The complexity of inter-application communication implies Android may have opportunities to run unauthorized code.[87]

This unfortunately will be one of the last best selling Galaxy S series, maybe Galaxy S4 will sell well too, but thats it. They used up the good name but rivals like Nokia have already caught up and even launched ahead with real innovation. And with manufacturers now actually excited and moving to WP8, Samsung are left with their ATIV series which is kinda lame.

Fuji, 06 Sep 2012Soon samsung will sell HDTV's as smartphones... it's just g... moreIf that happends, I will call it another innovation by them but some crappy people will still try to bring them down saying its plastic… I mean what’s inside is what really matters! And this phone is the most powerful Android phone till date and the only phone that can bring it down is Note II… otherwise no other company can compete with Samsung, in real world. People try to talk without facts in an attempt to bring something down that way ahead of them… it’s not your fault! Next time, don’t comment here, comment in the news where your favorite manufactures are involved and advice them to make something that can actually beat SGS3 in specs and in performance too… forget about the looks. If you hold the phone physically you’ll realize its way better than what people say, mostly have never used this phone before. They hate Samsung simply because their favorite company failed to come up with devices that can actually compete. Nevertheless, people who are smart enough to understand what a smartphone should be like will still prefer Samsung over any other manufacture! No matter what some dim-witted people comment! Samsung has been on top for quite some time now. Enough reasons for Nokia lovers to hate the fact. SGS3 outperform other devices, enough reason for other company lovers to hate them. Samsung took inspiration from Apple Inc. and made something even better, enough reasons for iFans to hate them… No matter who hates Samsung, they will still come up with something that is best in its class and strike its competitors hard! Enough reasons for others to hate Samsung. Doesn’t matter who calls it Samdung or whatever, it’s the current leaders of mobile world...

Switched to S3 from iPhone4 and never looked back. Why I hate the iphone4?
no reception@ home (basic function of a phone is to make calls
STUPID iPhone would turn on camera by itself when phone is locked and in my pocket, heats up as if it's going to explode.
Once I changed laptops and install iTunes again, doesn't recognise my phone and can't even transfer 1 song onto it.
Nevermind specs, why do I need a heating bomb that have bad reception everywhere that does nothing for me. BTW, I had Xperia S for 2 weeks, and even that phone is way better than the crapple!

People always complaining about GSIII vs iPhone, especially the iFan. Look at price wise, if GSIII phones were made with the same quality build such as iPhone 4/4S, Samsung phone would cost way more and at least $1000 dollars.

                              1. Apple phones made in China with cheap parts and labor cost.

                              2. Samsung phones made in Korea with high quality and expensive parts and high labor.

Apple products only good at user experience, beside that nothing else. Quality, hmm, I see many iPhone owners able to afford the phone, but unable to to fix the broken front and/or back glass.

American people usually complaining about using product made in China, but why do they love using iPhone so much? You get the picture.

well i think the sgs3 is good solid phone, and the specs and looks are amazing. but i prefer the HTC One X, better as a games machine and design and build is so much better. the S3 is just too plasticky and looks cheap. as the one x is better
