But series may turn into a sub-brand in future. The same thing happened with Poco. At first, it was a series, later a sub-brand, now a fully fledged brand.

            Series: Separate product line. But all decisions are finalised by the brand itself.
            Ex.: Samsung Galaxy Z, Note, A, S, Xiaomi Redmi K, Realme Narzo

            Sub-brand: Focused on specific customers or price segment. They make decisions, but, at last, filtered by the brand.
            Ex.: Xiaomi Redmi, Mi, vivo iQoo

            Brand: Manufacturer with an independent entity
            Ex.: Samsung, Xiaomi, Poco, Oppo, Realme, vivo, OnePlus

                  No thank you. Any phone with a mediatek chipset I will give a wide berth from after my bad experience with a realms C12. Thankfully got rid of that phone and now can relax.
