Sales data for the iPhone 12 mini, perhaps the only proper mini flagship on the market right now, is not encouraging.

Nor even 5% of them are buying this phone.

No android OEM is gonna make phone small like this iphone.
They all know not even 400.000 units would be sold.

It is like they people that complain about price.

" This phone is too overpriced at $1000".

But when same phone after few months is $700, they still do not buy.

The problem with the 12 mini is its price. People who are in the market for small phones are usually people who don't really care about their smartphone, they just want it to be small and don't really pay attention to much else. This market segment is usually in the market for something in the 400-500$ range. When the price drops in September, the 12 mini will start selling a lot more.

What kind of statement is that? If course the sales can't be different, when there is only big flagships.! Doh

When you have only one (1) small phone available, and it's an iPhone, it's not a surprise that noone wants it.

I love small sized phone, but I choosed large sized phone because it offers extra features with the slighty higher or the same price with the smaller version

Small phones tend to be more expensive. Pricing is a major draw back to adoption.

Thank you finally for flushing the nostalgia of ppl, was tired seeing comments demanding small phone on every phones launch page.
Chihuahuas are very small but very noisy 😂
The productivity, games, media content is best enjoyed in big phones.
Its only texting,calling ppl want small phones.

Pixel 5 is already an excellent small phone, excellent camera, long lasting battery and other features flagship should've.
It's just Google didn't put a high-end chip on it and it's quiet expensive compared to other mid-range phones eg. OP nord and Mi 10t.

A 6 inch screen with minimal bezel would suit most people.

so much ado for nothing. people who uses their phones for content consumption definitely would pick larger phone than a phone intended as a mini. I have small hands but typing still a bit cumbersome, somebody has to release wider phones or bring back 16:9 aspect ratio or something near that!
