To be honest...
I really like the L920 - it looks fab, it looks smooth... and as an Android user, I can appreciate the tiles - I think they're a funky way of getting lots of information quickly...
BUT
The clincher for me in NOT getting this was the recent interview with Nokia executive VP Kevin Shields - he was asked why they didn't put a micro-sd card in when WP8 can support this. His response?
"We started with the premise that we wanted an uncompromised physical form,"... "To put an SD card slot in it would have defiled it."
REALLY?
A tiny slit in the side would have defiled the look of the phone?
Style over substance?
Forget it.
They're starting to sound like Apple...
(or maybe that didn't have time to implement it... either way... they've lost me as a customer..)

AnonD-59079, 07 Sep 2012Objection.
Lumia use IPS TFT PureMotion HD+, while RAZR ... moreNokia can call it whatever they want, it's still just a TFT, still sluggish LCD pixels in need of lighting. Nothing new in that respect. Still no black, still no great contrast. perhaps the greatest TFT of all in phones, but that still doesn't help. Pentile vs non-pentile doesn't matter in that high pixel density.
WP8 being less prefered to Android is not a childish statement. All you need to do is look at current market shares. As I've mentioned before here. Android, ios and WP are all smartphone OS' with fairly similar features. Main difference is that while both ios and WP lock most of UI, Android let's you do whatever you want.
I have mentioned the camera several times over. It will most likely be slightly better in 920, we won't actually know for sure until we compare. Either way they will only be good enough for simple snapshots outdoors in good lighting, like any other cellphone camera. So for those of us - me included - who actually likes taking proper photos, we still have to use our (D)SLR and compacts etc.
The Lumia is also just another flagship in the WP series. HTC are promising HW wonders in their upcoming WP8 flagship. Samsung as well.
Looking at the current Android flagships, what have we got?
LG optimus 4x - decent battery, compact and not the best screen. Standard Android features. Optimum choice for heavy games - tegra zone.
Samsung S3 - not impressive battery, very big - even compared to screen siza and the screen is dim/weak. Cheapest build of all current flagships.
One x - fat, no SD, many excuses from HTC, a bulky Basically non-sd card version of the Optimus 4x.
Motorola RAZR MAXX - last gen power, smallest screen and qHD res. Maximum battery performance and optimum choice for durability. Brings many features others don't supply, ref MotoCast, Smart Actions, Webtop and 3LM.
All of them with fairly decent cameras, just as always.
What do we know is coming in Android?
LG optimus G - Amazing CPU, GPU and RAM. Rest is OK and small battery - scary when doubling the power hungry RAM and TFT screen.
Motorola RAZR HD - Just as powerful as recent flagships, better screen and signifactly better battery. Not so much higher capacity than 4x, but SAMOLED uses less energy then TFT and 2GB RAM. Oh, and 4G on European models.
Motorola RAZR HD MAXX - same as above only even more impressive battery.
If I were to choose WP, I probably would have supported my neighbours in Finland, but compared to Android, and the change of focus in Motorola phones to include bettre batteries - I just wouldn't choose anything else at this time.

I'm sorry but a website called "GSMARENA" should be very well aware of fake sample photos & videos used in TV ads. iPhone 4S ads for example are filled with fake sample photos. I don't see anyone whining about that.

AnonD-11222, 07 Sep 2012windows phone OS is more power efficient than Android OS a... moreI have all phones available to me, trust me, the no TFT, not matte what technology can compete with SAMOLED on key points such as black level and contrast. The Newest TFT arent bad, but not great compared to SAMOLED.

whatever it may be, people still don't believe me when I saw a N8 takes better photos than an iPhone. So why would they believe a 920 or 808 are better than great? There is a difference between buying an off the shelf lens and sensor and slapping it on the back of a phone as compared to developing your own.

I followed the link which has shot from original Nokia Lumia 920. And the output is outstanding. They might score low on advertisement but the Product is really amazing.
