Meh, what is the point of combining extremely expensive materials of exceptional longevity with components known for their comparably fruit-fly life cycle? In a few decades, these (and similar) devices will be nothing more than (significantly more) impressive versions of their mass-production counterparts - sad and hollow shells. In my opinion, retaining its initial value is exactly the caveat of highly advanced technology. You put the same precious metals, gems, and artifacts in the shaft of a fountain pen or face/case of a mechanical watch - and get something what will easily outlive you and will probably increase its worth for generations to come not just because it will be much more reliable over time, but also because even in case of a breakdown, you will be able to repair it and restore its original function (with appropriate craft and knowledge, and a "bit" of money, of course :) ) for virtually unlimited time...
By the way, I have been eyeing Xperia XZ2 Compact as a compact flagship since its announcement. The initial price was ridiculous, but the current price of at least €350 for the few remaining brand new devices is even less justifiable, given the current non-existent official software support 3 years (!) after release.

Don't even need the prices to know that i can't afford these.

                Solid gold, no kidding 😅

yeah, cause the first batch they did when the phones launched months ago were a hit and sold out immediately
