Doesn't the US realise that China will just become self sufficient, and destroy the only remaining industry the US has that they want. Very short sighted.

The only non career politician to be elected and he brought troops home, didn't start any wars and actually had the Korea's talking (not sure where that stands now) and also some middle east countries. But "orange man bad" was the narrative.

A lot of this I think has to be blamed on these Chinese companies also. Why don't they allow a detailed check up into their factories or at least fight a case against these bans instead of sitting silent. After every such ban or restriction, they usually issue a clarification on their social media pages claiming they are innocent, which almost means nothing in such a huge scenario, why not defend yourself if those allegations really are false. I don't think self ego or patriotism has anything to do with this when market share of so many countries is at stake in such situations

There's a policy of the US, no matter who the president is, and the president is there just so you can have an illusion of choice and democracy. If the president opposes some of the US policies, want to pull out the US troops occupying some poor country, God forbid, he will be removed because he's a Russian asset and Putin's man. Presidents come and go, the US policy remains the same. That's what it tells me.

It's not the actual president who researches this stuff. One president to the next will not make a difference.

Lack of competition is only ever bad for the consumer, all this will do is increase prices while reducing innovation.

I'm neutral and won't take any sides. But, some time China phone manufacturer (Oppo, Realme, OnePlus, Vivo anf Xiaomi) like to put their own version of crapware (I like to called it that) service app and 100% I don't even used it. Especially what ever Xiaomi phones are 🥴

We all knew he's just as strict as Trump was when it comes to policies towards China, so it makes a lot of sense I guess.
