december 2022 and it's still in developement ... it will take many years to becomes stable ...it's still so bugged.

Not all changes have been listed. What about playlists? Before 4.0 version creating a playlist was way easier: I played a video by double click in Windows Explorer, paused this, pressed Ctrl+L, dragged another video into a playlist, swapped the order (when necessary), pressed Ctrl+L (return to video), clicked on play, and go! This was real simple. But if 4.0 is about to drop this feature, I'll rather stay at 3.x version, which isn't bad. Even the VLC team knows nothing. The time will show when it's released. Interface doesn't seem to be intuitive. Good luck!

The new UI looks good but I hope it doesn't make it harder to find/do stuff.
*I also believe that many don't like the stock UI.

About time. I nearly forgot about 4.0, as I am mainly on mobile these days. I remember waiting for this to drop 2 or 3 years ago and it just kept getting delayed. Much needed make over to bring it to parity with the better looking and less redundant mobile VLC's. Hopefully they don't remove half the functionality in the process.
