Do the G10 and g30 have a compass sensor?

KondriX, 17 Feb 2021I think stock Android is good for more elderly people, who ... moreI agree that stock Android is best for people who find technology a bit daunting like maybe older folks or someone new to Android as it's much easier to navigate and use than some of the skinned versions and Google, Motorola and Nokia are probably the easiest to simply pick up and use software wise but they definitely lag behind on hardware. My opinion on more budget focused phones would be to drop the amount of cameras to 1 normal and one wide angle/zoom lens and drop 720p screens for 1080p ones. Personally when I read 720p it's instantly a no go regardless of the phones other specs after that. I know many people will say 720p is fine on a phone but honestly in 2021 I have to disagree. Having said that I do think 1080p is plenty for a 6.5-7 inch screen. This is where I think Motorola and Nokia would improve their sales by stopping putting low Res screens in their phones as otherwise their specs are acceptable for the price. (Maybe 6 gigs ram and not 4 too)

Acorns, 17 Feb 2021I'm no fanboy to any brand of phone and I was a stock ... moreLet's face it miui sucks. Only reason to buy a Xiaomi smartphone is if you know what you're doing and can get a custom ROM installed. The development behind Xiaomi phones is phenomenal. I for one, use a poco f1 with stock android 11 and it runs as good as a flagship should in 2021. Whereas the miui updates that Xiaomi pushes are intended to slow down your device so that you upgrade soon. Especially the MiUI 12 update.

I for one wipe my phone's stock rom and flash a custom aosp build with minimal bloatware for a smoother and more user friendly experience with the best bits of Google. Vanilla Android is the way to go.

Are they releasing g20 in India?

Acorns, 17 Feb 2021I'm no fanboy to any brand of phone and I was a stock ... moreI think stock Android is good for more elderly people, who don't have time and knowledge to tinker with the customization. For example I would get one of these for my mother, to replace her Z2 Play.

KondriX, 16 Feb 2021Well, these phones gonna cost 150-180€, Poco X3 was around ... moreI'm no fanboy to any brand of phone and I was a stock Android lover till I dared to venture to miui and absolutely love it. One of its best features is the ability to turn off the screen while YouTube is playing which along with split screen means you get features for free that normally only come with YouTube subscriptions. Also the Poco m3 is less than these phones with FHD+ screen, stereo speakers etc. Sorry if I sound like I'm dumping on Motorola because I like their brand just not the decisions and direction they going with their phones

James, 17 Feb 2021These fast chargers aren't meant for full charge cycle... moreI got a Poco X3 NFC with 5100mah battery and a 33watt fast charging brick in the box that fully charges the phone in 65 mins for £200 which also included a free case and screen cover too. What's Samsung and apples excuse???

I use mine to charge my phone for 5-10mins while I'm having a break from gaming ..and the reason some use lower wattage is to keep the cost down. My 30 watt OnePlus charger is either £40 or £50 .. imagine what that would do to the price of a budget phone!

Moto Edge S , 16 Feb 2021All I am waiting from Motorola is to release the Edge S globally Yeah the price is crazy cheap .. Snapdragon 870 too which is basically an 865 that's been overclocked a bit more than the 865+ ...some refer to it as 865++. Good luck getting one though coz they sell out in seconds

90hz on a 720p screen. Seriously? Didn't know you could still get 720p screens..my last one was an Xperia T back in 2013

The difference is not that big but at these prices it does matter. Then there is MIUI vs clean Android, and some other differences. For the price I think they are good enough..

sadh, 16 Feb 2021Nokia 5.4 does not have 90hz, charge 2x slower, only 48mp, ... moreNokia and Motorola could both be much more popular just by bumping up a few basic specs like putting 1080p screens instead of 720p ones and couple more gigs ram. If they want to really compete with Xiaomi/Poco/redmi etc just bump up a few of these key specs coz they are both a brand that people still root for and would probably buy but they just let down by weak specs when compared with the competition.

KondriX, 16 Feb 2021Why this is trash? Because this is a just a perfect phone f... moreTake a look at Poco X3 NFC specs for the same money, it is better in every respect and there are other phones too that offer way better specs for around the same price. I know not everyone needs flagship grade phones, I'm one of them (I have Poco X3 NFC) and my last phone was a Moto X 2014 which I loved but Motorola keep on downgrading their specs like dropping 1080p screens for 720p ones, downgrading socs like 662 chip from 665, dropping stereo speakers etc. These phones may well be perfectly good and usable phones but they are going backwards in terms of design and specs. If theres one thing that for me is a deal breaker in 2021 it's a 720p screen especially now phones are averaging 6.5 inches in size.
