Oppo Find X3 spotted in benchmark listings with Snapdragon 870

16 February 2021
A vanilla Find X3 to join the Pro, Neo and Lite models.

Disappointed that they didn't use the Snapdragon 888, but at the same time, the 888 suffers from an overheating issue, so maybe i am fine with 10% loss of power and efficiency and 7nm process, but with less heat, and can make my battery last longer

Pretty much called this. Pro gets 888 while vanilla gets 870 to save money (despite using a smaller battery; thanks Qualcomm...).

Neo is getting the Dimensity 1200 which is PERFECTLY viable. It just won't be able to use 2K@120Hz (it will probably be 1080p@120Hz which is good for most) and it will have LPDDR4X RAM instead of 5 but I think it will still be perfectly fine (so long as it has global bands, 4,500mAH battery, headphone jack, and wireless charging to which it won't have the latter two I'm sure).

That is ... moreLike why would you need a phone that costs 1000$, it's gotten way put of hands, they add a bunch of unnecessary features and advertise them really well to make you believe that you really need them. A 500$ phone with sd870, is just perfect in my opinion, yeah it's a overclocked last year processor, but who really cares, probabily it's going to last you 5 years without a problem and offer you all the necessary features that you really need.

Batteries that use Lithium. It is nature of the componets.
Fast charging increase speed of chemical reactions needed to charge battery.
If batteries were graphite or graphene, would not be problem.

Phone that supports 50W but charged at 5W will keep battery healthy for longer time than same device charged by 50W.

Funny that people like you think Sony, Apple, LG and Google do not know how to handle 50, 60, 90, 100W when these companies have had products like laptops that use this fast charging.

Go ahead, charge a laptop everyday. Let's see if battery will be above 50% of initial capacity after 6 years like cellphones can sustain.

My old Dell has 90W, despite smaller capacity than my ipad.
My ipad after 2 years, still lasts as much as it used to.
                              With 12W charger.

People here want top of the line chip in non pro variant and when the company charges more, they complain about price.

Snapdragon 870 is perfect for the vanilla Find X3. People who want Snapdragon 888 can spend more and buy Find X3 pro.
