Are you lost with the reality? In last two years Apple stole close to 100 million users from Android. There’s over billion active iPhones in use. IOS userbase is growing very fast, very opposite of dying really. Android will never kill iOS, Android is only killing Android companies slowly, that’s what it is doing.

Mediatek sux, 17 Feb 2021Is it impossible to jailbreak it?Last time I've checked, there were some problems with jailbreaking the newest iOS. And even if it's possible, I'm not sure jailbreaking is popular enough for people to make quality apps available that way.

Customers can choose market place, when they choose mobile phone. Don't buy iOS/Android if you don't like it, OR buy BOTH :)

It should be up to the owner of the phone what app store and payment method they want to use. Not something Apple should just decide. Similar to the case against Microsoft with the browser war against Netscape. Apple is using its current monopoly to its own gain.

Apple has defined terms and conditions for its app store which is part of iOS running on IPhones. All three are owned by them.
If this suit came from iPhone owners then it would have made sense as Apple is limiting the use of the device that people paid for and for them there is only one platform.
But when it comes from a developer it is nonsense. For a developer, especially one like Epic which develops for a lot of platforms, this suit doesn't make sense. iOS is not a dominant platform and even less so when you include other non-mobile platforms. So any argument in terms of dominance just falls flat.

Well if big company like Huawei could fall like a rotten pear from a tree apple could too.
Banning this company everywhere for its mischief practicies would only make me feel better and sleep better.
I wouldnt shred even a single tear towards this fraud company which really thinks if they have money they can everything.
Wrong. Time to teach them a lesson. The sooner the better.

This is contract dispute, they knew what it was on the policy when they joined apple app store. If didn't like it they could have re-negotiate the contact they signed. Instead they breach the contract instead. Epic games shot them selves in the foot. Problem with antitrust is apple could be fined but still doesn't mean anything as fortnite would still be banned because they still breached the contract they signed.

Terms that are eliminating any kind of competition are not legally valid. So Apple potentially was eliminating others with terms that should not be there in the first place.
I'm just surprised it took this long.

I have an iPad, and if Epic wins against Apple it's going to be great. Unfortunately, Apple severely limits what can be available in the App Store (manga readers are limited, console emulators aren't really allowed at all). If it becomes possible to sideload apps and use other stores, I'm sure all kinds of new apps will be made that were previously not allowed, and my iPad will become a lot more useful.
