When I read the title, I read "LG escape andriod" for "AT&T gets announced". Then I though, is there any way of escaping android from world domination?

Is it impossibru tu put aluminium back cover to these fones. These thin plastic cases are weak and toyish.

These meh smartphones crowd the shelves. Why not pay 50, 100 or 150 bucks more if you're paying about $1500 for a full 2 year commitment anyway?
It comes to $1550 or $1700 and the difference is usinng a crappy half specced phone for the next 2 years of your life, vs using a full blown smartphone.
Buying this dumb smartphones on contract is a blatant abuse from the carriers to the consumers.
