That's okay since it's a niche device and how will have trust in them for software support for a 2000+ device ?

Well obviously. Why would LG do anything good in the smartphone market? This isn't 2017.

-Trix-, 22 Feb 2021There's propably a lot of problems to get the apps and... moreThat's because LG do not put their back into their stuff.
A nobody dev on reddit created an app to force wide view on non wide supported apps on dual screen phones. And it just made some apps like Moon Reader look like a book with a single page dispalyed on each screen.

Hooray for a future of rectangles. These form factors made fun of by the media/masses only become relevant if Apple "invents" them.

LG should release it anyway. It might become a hit and the sales will cover their loss for the last few years. Otherwise, they'll be showcasing some cool tech and rack up more losses.

Glad LG's failing, Samsung is the superior Korean tech company.

I don't understand why they made lg wing in the first place, their marketing twma is not efficient and their aspirations are very very high. Don't think of directly competing with Samsung. Just make good people centric phone at minimum profit margins and do it in all segments. Look at Mi for example they r not making anything extreme or special but pushing the boundaries slightly so every time and improving. No harm in learning from small companies.

Kek, 22 Feb 2021If anything, LG should license their tech like Sony does. B... moreDAC is bought, not created the OEMs.
Boom Box is same approach used by HTC with U11. Some space is used to amplify the sound. Htc calls Boom Speaker.
Nothing to be licensed....

If anything, LG should license their tech like Sony does. BoomBox and their QuadDacs would be a welcome addition for other Oems.

-Trix-, 22 Feb 2021There's propably a lot of problems to get the apps and... moreProbably not this .
LG is going through huge financial loss with mobile.
This kind of device would surely cost more than $2500.
They would never sell enough to cover the investment.
They should focus on make things better now, then bring this kind of device.

There's propably a lot of problems to get the apps and games work with it. It's cool concept, but propably still need a whole lot of work to be real product.
