I can't for the life of me understand why people complain about stuff they'll never going to buy. There's like 1000 kinds of phones out there, you don't like something about a certain one, you buy a different one obviously. What's the purpose of lamenting about one or the other?

Real marketing would be to have 2 consistent series names, have you seen their models lists, pro this, pro that, like dude i can't tell what's entry, mid, or flagship in their product lines

This model isn't going to last. It already started showing on the OnePlus. Service > Devices, you can release a new phone every quarter if you like, without proper software roll out, it going to loose market eventually. Unless you can keep compete over same flagship still selling at sub-500 bucks, else, nobody is going to keep buying it from the lack of software support.

Re 'vegan leather' - a lot of people aren't exactly going to want cow leather on their phone for reasons other than being vegan, when you think about it! The 'race track' thing sounds horrible though.

I will never buy a "VeGaN EcO LeAThEr" phone until they advertise it as plastic. There's nothing ecosystemically good about it. (or economically good) There's nothing leather about it. There's nothing special about it. It's a plastic back.
