Mediatek sux, 25 Feb 2021Who said its superior?Read carefully... I said from "quality of sound perspective" an audiophile earphone is far more superior than any wireless headphone... I'm not talking about those sony bose sennheiser things that mass produced... I talk about custom made things that build and tuned professionally (mine cost 700€ with 3 drivers in it, some cost even more)...
No bluetooth headphone could ever transfer as much data through air as a wire... That's a physics law!!! And no matter how good a bluetooth headphone, it would never beat a great ear/headphone from sound quality perspective!!!

... moreIts about getting what you want cheap. sd cards get you lots of storage for little money. Game roms, movies, music dont need ufs storage speeds. Easily swappable between devices. The closest alternative is the smallest usb drive you can find. Takes up a port and not all that small to stick it to a phone.
Same for 3.5 jack - you can find earphones with even lower latency for much cheaper than the most lowest latency wireless ones. I agree its not convenient though, but you dont have to worry about charging one more thing.

When Model T first came, the carriage owners and coach builders were very angry that they would secretly burn cars during night as they were stubborn to adopt.
Look now, we now have regular cars, sports cars, SUVs, cubs, vans buses, electric cars, Super cars, hyper cars with advanced propulsion systems and at every price point, and no one is riding in horsers.
You are that Horse guy, stubborn and sticking with Ancient technology.
Apple dumped the 3.5mm jack, everyone else follwed 4 years later.
Now we have affordable Low latency earphones, Earbuds with long battery life.
Without Apples decison we would still have mediocre wireless audio devices.
I usually don't like Apple but I am thankful for them for this.
No 3.5mm jack, Wirless is the only way forward.
Hopefully MicroSD slots would be abandoned soon, so we can have fast UFS memory in phones.

MasEnha, 25 Feb 2021I see that many people complaining about 3.5mm jack. And th... moreThere aren't that many USB headsets, and many existing headsets already have a 3.5mm Jack connector, for example my Corsair Void Pro, and many other gaming/music headphones/headsets too.
And there are many things that a good old analog plug can do that USB can't, for example using a Y splitter, or plugging directly into an amp because of the 100% perfect native compatibility.
FiiO doesn't sell headphones or headsets, only earphones, and as many other people, I hate having something IN my ear, and the amp may sound great, but who really want to deal with such a thing nowaday?
The point is, keeping the Jack, as every other field always kept older compatible interfaces unless it is outdated (which the Jack clearly isn't as it work really well) which only the smartphone industry is ditching, and let's remember that the smartphone industry is the ultimate king at taking poor decisions, and the same devices it is removed from (high end and flagships) is also those plagued with around 50% or more with curved edge display that the vast majority of users does NOT want, and from that alone we can understand that them removing it is a poor decision.
There is not a single valid reason to remove the 3.5mm Jack, its age or "I don't like it/I consider Bluetooth to be better/I don't like cables" are NOT good reasons, and there are TONS of valid reasons to keep it, including :
*The vast majority want it and only a noisy minority of idiots don't want it.
*Many do use it and there are uses that can only be done through that or that would be too expensive through digital or wireless.
*There are a lot of wired devices still sold that use the 3.5mm Jack ranging from extremely cheap to top end.
So, USB is good for those who want it, indeed, but it doesn't mean it is an excuse whatsoever to replace/remove the 3.5mm Jack, mainly considering that the USB option is more expensive and cumbersome.
