I don't understand this. How hard it was to get a better chipset for Samsung? I am OK with Sammy going the mediatek route, but how expensive would it have to implement G90T or G95T instead of G-80. That G90T came one a half year ago in Redmi Note 8 Pro, and I am more than sure it would be far cheaper now. How much money did Sammy save by using a weaker chipset in a midrange phone that is presumably going to stay here till the end of the year?? 🙄🤔

    rizki1, 26 Feb 2021too bad ignoring 5G for a phone priced almost $300. 1 word: lol

Thus is actually a good deal for the price
Helio G80 is enough for Low to moderate setting for gaming. (On par with SD662)

Plus 90hz on a Super Amoled with 800nits peak brightness is kinda rare. Most are 90hz LCD with low Peak Brightness.

This phone should not he called the A32 it should be the A32s with all the upgrades from the A32

I really don't know what to make of android manufacturers nowadays, is it just a case of swamp the market and hope for the best?

Literally I have losses count the amount of phones I've seen Sammie releasing, F62, even though it's launched as the M62 in other places, A52, A52 5G, A72, A72 5G, FE phones, multiple Note phones, folding phone which I'll forever remain sceptical about not to mention the rediculous Galaxy Flip stupidity..

Is this a sign of phone manufacturers starting to cave because sales are dropping so they think literally anything up to try and find an escape from this?

Aside from the design everyone is more or less the same within its own tier.

Apple is still the only one remaining individual in all the phone market.

3-4 phones per year and they still work great.

I own a iPhone 11 Pro and Galaxy Tab S5e, both work fine in there respective placing within the market, albeit the SD 670 inside my Tab does feel the pressure under multi tasking between apps etc etc, even with more RAM it would still find lag..

I personally think the Helio G80 is starting to be abit of a joke, personally people should ask for improved performance over more cameras, especially given how sh*t cameras can be in Budget to Mid phones anyways...

Whilst the 2x6 CPU cluster in the G80 may work better for efficiency, the larger batteries in phones now should easily be able to power a 4x4 CPU cluster, more performance cores = higher multi core performance levels, this is where opening and closing then doing lots of different things on phones matter..

I'd expect something like 4x A75 @2.5ghz/A55 @1.8ghz and the Mali G57 inside the A32 4G using the 7NM process and less cameras, those stupid macro and depth lenses have to go...

It's basically installing a SSD drive on a motherboard that can't take the full advantage of it. Sure, you do get a small improvement but it's still bottlenecked by the processor.
Ironic how the G80 trumps the 662 but for cost cutting reasons, they limit it to EMMC 5.1

too bad ignoring 5G for a phone priced almost $300.

A hardware spec is fixed. Your eMMC phone will crawl on simplest thing like updating apps.

It's a sluggish, unoptimized piece of junk with a horrible chipset and no UFS 2.1 can save that.
Realme 6i that my brother uses, absolutely flies and uses the Helio G80. No slowdowns or anything.
Optimization is the key for any smartphone and MIUI is still horrible when it comes to that.

The Android Freak, 26 Feb 20215G will take another two years where deployment has started... moreYes apart from China, there is literally no country wilth full roll out for 5G, it's all full of lies, like TMobile 800Hz “5G” and some places there is 2300 MHz “5G” and sometime 5G deployed in same 4G wavelength.

I have seen a country utilise 26Ghz wavelength yet, so yet it will be atleast 2 years until proper 5G implementation in all countries.
