Huawei wants to make electric cars later this year

I have used Huawei phones since P6. Back in 2019 when my company was looking for a cellphone partner, my focus was Huawei - although I could easily get some other brands since the bosses were in our group. But my first choice was - and IS - only Huawei compared to all other brands COMBINED.

After the trade war and being treated unfairly, my love for Huawei has grown exponentially since then. Now our project together is to launch phones that are so 'individually fashionable and high-tech' that there are no 2 same phones in the world.

Cannot be better to make money with a very special company I have been very proud of. The reason or logic behind it? ... well I hope I will have more time to write THEM some times in the futur. Too long, bro

    Huawei is pretty huge in telecom and Mobile is only a small part of their business.

      I think Huawei should start making better value laptops and try to grab people's attention again. Seeing them die would honestly suck

          It is true Geely helped Volvo & Polestar but only financially. But it is Volvo who helped Geely improved their technology.

          Proton is a different company from Foton....

            Geely helped Volvo and Polestar for what they are now and eventually bought them fully same for Lotus

            Proton is Malaysian but as of now, they are rebadging vehicles

                Geely finally able to showcase something after acquiring Volvo & Lotus.

                While others such as Changan, Great Wall etc. is yet to prove themselves as worthy of the world market with their own badged vehicles and not with a joint-venture vehicles with foreign automakers.

                Foton on the other hand is getting some recognition for their cheap reliable vehicles but most of their designs are an obvious rip-off not just from the the platform to the visual design. So still no.

                    Elon musk said 400wh/kg is enough to make cars fly, but he also said there will be 10 million autonomous vehicles in the road by 2020, so I wouldnt take his word.

                    Current batteries are only 250wh/kg (cell level) and worse 170wh/kg (pack level)

                    As for spying devices, the very device you used to type your message is one, no need to look further.

                            They can't make a decent car without involvement of any western or companies out of China.
