apple is very great in marketing, IPS display, renamed to the Retina Display, by adding a few lines of the existing microUSB, they rename it to lightning .., all the products that are already on other smartphones, changed to a name that seemed great.
but I admit apple have the great design, because apple more glorify the art than technical

jay, 13 Sep 2012they should put some night shots samples too, shouldn't they ;)the reason why they dont is simple... it would be totally crap in night, not like the lumia 920 wich excells in low light, these are taken in perfect light...
and any camera preforms well in good light

The 4S camera was awesome, and no doubt this will be even better. It's good to see that phones have settled with 8mp as an ideal, rather than bumping up the megapixels on phones that don't sell. (Nokia have taken note at last)

Panorama fotos takes and my xperia mini st15i and also in 3d mode , very dissapointed from the iphone 5, even the closer pics the iphone 4s has better quallity i think.

Well regarding the fact that the ISO as gone up 2 F stops that doesn't surprise me.
If I remember correctly 4S had same Sony sensor as Xperia Arc which reached ISO4000 and was limited to ISO1600 on iPhone so lots to work with there. Simply allowing the sensor to go to maximum ISO and working this image processing a bit more.
IPhones always have decent cameras and this one is nice but 8mp is getting outdated.

Only incremental improvements to the 4S and still not as good as the Galaxy sIII... Samsung are the clear winners.

Wow! Those are really great pictures! But, how it will stacked up against Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia 808 PureView (8MP PureView mode)? For sure, Samsung's Galaxy S III would lose again, which is the same last year.
Any thoughts guys?

Even iPod touch has a panaroma mode. But it uses the A5 processor found in the ip 4s. Is panorama a feature of ios 6 or new devices only?
