Yes the build quality is not like the iPhone but it's does look good and can last for 2 years without looking bad.

It's done to bring down costs, so that they can put in faster quad cores. If the SGS2 was made of the same material as a Nokia or a Sony, it would cost about $200 extra.

Not blaming iphone user but try to open yourselves.
For me the retina is the best display but should not forget that what is displayed on it,is what type of camera used to pick up the pics and movies.If you display low resolution.don't think that retina will make it looks better just that its an apple.If u threw garbage it will display garbage.

thats a price for the name "Apple", they are really good at marketing... mostly it doesnt matter what is the product and how good it is as compare to competitors. What matter is the perceived value in the mind of people. Some products really sell due to their perceived value even if they are crap... well apple is not a crap but even not good enough as compare to its competitors but it has very good perceived value...

When you go to buy an iphone, you know you are paying for "image, power, trust and technology". And Apple is doing good its job. But new horizon of Android world has begun to break the rules, in my opinion...

There's no need to go for the jugular on which phone is best. People who rant about how much "their" GSIII is than the I5 need to take a step back. If you were actually interested in waiting on the I5 you wouldn't have bought the GSIII. The I-philes need to stop sounding like apple is some kind of religious institution, this has no bearing on product quality.
iOS is restrictive, stable, and relatively secure. It's easier to pick up for new users and frequently people stick to a brand. Android can be made to do more overall, but it can take more effort to make work. it's true that top tier android and windows phones have bigger screens, is this really such an amazing thing. This is a device that will go in you pocket. Toss an otterbox on an GSIII and you might as well have bought the Note. The iPhone 5 is the only top line phone with a width under 65mm wide.
You could put the iPhone in the Nokia Lumia and rattle it like a maraca. I'm sure that for all it's hardware and features the SGIII, Lumia and Optimus will get passed over when a the phone chooser in question hold each in their hand. Unless you are the type who took apart you parents stereo as a kid, the merits of Snapdragon over A6 will likely not be a factor in the choice of a smartphone.
