iPhone 5 cannot do simultaneous voice and LTE data on CDMA

14 September, 2012
The reason for this is due to Apple's decision to go with a thinner and lighter design.

I constantly use my phone for voice and data - that is the whole point of a smartphone! Talk to someone whilst looking up information online, maps, directions, movie times, business names etc etc. My Android phones have done this since day one. My anti Apple friends were right, it's bling over substance. Typing this on Apple's much better thought out and versatile product - MacBook Air 13".

how to explain this? "The new iphone is so smart that it can actually decide btw data connection and voice calling" may be? XD.......... Apple there is a place in hell reserved for you!

isn't it common for CDMA handsets?
i previously had Nokia 6275i, Samsung SCH-i899, Samsung SCH-i509, LG Chocolate ID90C, and some Chinese-made CDMA phones.
all of them cannot do simultaneous data & voice caall.
you have to choose between data or voice call.

that's why i stopped using CDMA, and switch to GSM.
GSM phones are better than CDMA phones, since they capable to do simultaneous data & voice call at once.

Why is everybody complaining about ip5? Rather than looking about negatives, why not concentrate what the new phone does offer, for me 112 g is amazing and a big selling point

i have iphone 4 and S2 im not a fan of IOS because the limitation but the only great thing for aple its that the phone looks solid till will fall in rest all functions are bloked to other user :((
for the all day use its not so fun and android does the job i have expecting something better but you cand create something if you sue and not create hope to upgade to S3 because apple its only for people who need a phone not a smartphone !!!!

So you are fucked up if you are trying to have handfree conversation while you are using your online data (calendar, gps, internet search or anything else, in fact, everything else !!!)

I have to say this is a HUGE disappointment and a total non-sense.
