And let's not forget that cooling on a mobile phone has many limitations. In many cases the passive cooling do not directly cool the SoC, just transfers heat away from it (hence called passive). Gaming PCs can directly cool the CPU (active cooling) and gives increased performance more dramatically.
Also you can upgrade many gaming PCs (laptop/dekstop) more easily, whether it is replacing an SSD or the VGA/GPU.

Meanwhile their first Legion phone is barely getting updated lol. People are reporting bugs and are stuck a on an old security patch loool.
If you're going to splurge on a gaming phone, just get an Asus ROG 3.

Kula, 03 Mar 2021Red Magic did it first and is already on its 6th iteration ... moreAt the end of the day, both implementations suck because a phone with active cooling is a very niche product for those who can't stop playing PUBG or MOBAs on their phones 24/7 (What else can really utilize the SD888?)
It's much more rational to just buy a gaming PC that will serve you longer.

Snapdragon 888 is such a mess that it requires two fans to cool it down if you want more performance than 865 lol.

Ppl choose those big phones for a better viewing or they have big hands and same goes to laptop. Some are heavy bcs they're designed to run AAA games. Get a Macbook if u want a lightweight, compact and quiet laptop

Red Magic did it first and is already on its 6th iteration with more mature technology than Lienovo.

Ideal of a phone, lightweight, portable, quiet, with long battery life.
Now, its noisy, heavy, non portable because you have to plugin to power those fans and your overheating... almost like a junk laptop.
